19.01.2022 We have received a reply from the Lord Mayor regarding the mail out of the Precinct 6 DA modification notification letter in April-May 2014. We do not appreciate the tone of the letter which asserts that the letter drop did take place a survey of our group clearly indicated that no-one within 75 metres of the site received the letter. You can download the letter and associated suburb plan at our website: http://flagharoldpark.com//harold-park-precinct-6-da-modi/ You can... also download some of the Precinct 6 DA modification files at the link above. If you live close to the site and didnt receive the notification letter we urge you to send a submission which will allow Council to check their notification records. Send an email to: [email protected] and please urge your neighbours to do the same. As stated in the Lord Mayors letter, submissions are still being received. The proposed Precinct 6 building includes a 4 storey building on the corner of Wigram Road and Minogue Crescent which is greater than the 3 storeys approved in the Harold Park Development Control Plan. Refer to the Height of Buildings plan at this link: http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au//HaroldParkDCP2011_FINA We object to the incremental increase in building heights on the corner of Wigram Road and Minogue Crescent, and the manner in which community consultation has taken place around this issue. Regards, FLAG Harold Park

19.01.2022 FYI from City of Sydney: For your information the Harold Park Naming Proposal exhibition has been extended until 21 July. This has come about from additional submission requests and to allow for the school holidays.

17.01.2022 Do you want a McDonalds in the Valhalla building on Glebe Point Road? It seems to be happening already: Go to: https://www.facebook.com/McDonaldsNotOnOurCorner/ "So a few people have asked "are you sure it's McDonalds moving into Glebe?"... This is what we know - last Thursday McDonalds labeled trucks moved McDonalds labeled equipment into the store. We have also had a tenant confirm it is a McDonalds "pop up" store. We don't have "confirmation" from McDonalds, but we think that's because they will call the store "The Corner" and pretend it's a different thing. "The Corner" is wholly owned and operated by McDonalds. We would like to stop the sneaky-ness before it starts". See more

15.01.2022 It has come to our attention that a DA modification (D/2014/341) was lodged with Council to increase the building height from 3 to 4 storeys in Precinct 6 of the Harold Park development site. Precinct 6 is located on the corner of Minogue Crescent and Wigram Road. Council has advised FLAG that a letter drop was undertaken for 300 properties near the development site. However, at this stage no one in our group has confirmed that they received this notification letter. It i...s understood that a notification was posted on the site hoarding but the Harold Park Development Control Plan requires that a letter drop also be conducted for any DA modifications. Due to the apparent lack of communication regarding this important change to the height of the Precinct 6 apartments, we have requested that Council re-upload the DA modification documents to the Council website (they have been removed). Council have stated they will continue to take submissions but obviously the community needs access to the DA documents to provide adequate feedback. Can you please confirm ASAP whether you received the DA modification letter (D/2014/341) in March or April 2014? Email: [email protected]. We will provide this feedback to Council (anonymously) to confirm whether any resident near the site received the letter. FLAG

05.01.2022 Here is our email to Council sent yesterday: Clover, Following on from your letter to FLAG (dated 21 July 2014, attached) which stated that 300 letters were dropped to properties surrounding the Harold Park development site as a notification for the DA modification D/2014/341 (Precinct 6), we have surveyed our group to ask if they received the letter. Your letter stated that a letter drop was conducted of the surrounding properties (i.e. within 75 metres). We presume the le...tter was sent in March/April 2014. Our survey indicates that no residents in various areas around the site and within 75 metres (including Forest Lodge, Annandale and Glebe) received this letter. Much concern has been expressed that the developer is apparently increasing Precinct 6 building heights without the required community consultation (including letter drops as per Harold Park DCP requirements). We therefore request that the D/2014/341 documents be re-uploaded to the Council website to enable community review and feedback, and that the submission period be extended for 4 weeks. Please urgently advise if you disagree with this approach. Regards, FLAG We await Council's reply.

03.01.2022 Here is an example of the submissions being sent to the City of Sydney regarding the Harold Park Naming Proposal: Dear Clover and Bryce; As I type this letter on Monday 16 June 2014, the noise of jack hammering has been constant from 7:30AM. Unfortunately this is not an unusual event during these past 3 years. The demolition and construction activities at this huge construction site have been an enormous disruption my household and the local residents and have not only produc...ed noise, but constant, dust, road closures, parking problems, road destruction, unprovoked verbal abuse from workers. I have been alarmed at the recent activity the City of Sydney has undertaken at the request of the developer Mirvac. Mirvac in requesting a name change in part of the area that they have decided to develop in, has turned its back on the local community that has borne and will continue to bare most of the development impact. I am disappointed that the City of Sydney is promoting the interests of the developer ahead of the community. The "have your say" survey is an indication of this favour as the "no change" outcome is represented in 1 out of 4 options. Surely the question of change should be a "yes or no" and then if yes the options is a better fair representation of a requirement for change. The fact that the City of Sydney is investing time and money on behalf of Mirvac and secondly is presenting a bias for change is sadly a reflection of a council that is losing touch of the community ahead of interests of profit for the developer. It is clear Mirvac will be able to maintain a price premium on their exclusive area with any of the 3 options favouring change. Naturally the City of Sydney will bare fruit in higher revenues but please do not disguise self interest with a false community concern during this consultation. Surely there are better activities the City of Sydney should undertake that has a more positive outcome for its constituents.
