24.01.2022 Anyone else remember this party-seeking tongue with horror and amusement?? Why We Love It: I remember everyone talking about this ad when it came out and with good reason! It's got gross shock factor, it's genuinely funny and 'Satisfaction' by Benny Benassi is an absolute catchy banger.... Why It Works: Beer ads have a great advantage despite copious amounts of legislation cramping their style -everyone associates their product with fun, friends, social enjoyment and feeling happy. So they don't need to convince people they want beer, rather they work on convincing people that they want THIS beer. And apparently Tooheys New is so good, your tongue will leave you in the middle of the night to get some (apparently). How You Can Use It: Take it to the extreme: if your product tastes good, how good does it taste? If your product makes something shiny, what are the worst case scenarios of how shiny it is? If your service gives people more time, what extreme thing could they do with all that time? Then put it to a sweet dance beat.

23.01.2022 {TRELLO} Perfect for start ups or small businesses who need a cheap, easy way to track tasks and project, Trello is a user friendly and customisable. Divide your work into boards and see who needs to do what, when and how it's going. We love it!

22.01.2022 Before we create a marketing strategy for a client, we spend time learning why they are in business, what their favourite clients are like and what has been the most rewarding feature of their work. Caring about what you do, your customers and your product is one of the best types of advertising you can do, and nearly nothing can overcome it if you don't.

22.01.2022 We always stress that content needs to be giving, you can't expect people to care about your product or business unless you show them you care about them! If your images, videos and posts are always asking, then potential customers will switch off quick. How can you add value to your customers lives with your content?

22.01.2022 FLAIRY FAQS: Which Social Media Platform should I use? # Straight up, let me get something off my chest - I really hate doing Lives! No matter how many times I have recorded a Live, it still brings up a sense of dread and panic. So why do we recommend them? Because they are truly authentic. They show the "warts-n-all" of your personality, your business and your product. As a marketing bonus - it is YouTube/Instagram/Facebook's favourite way to keep people on the...ir platform, and you are rewarded with good organic engagement. So, swallow your fears, and jump into a live video today!

21.01.2022 Any article that started with "Millennials are killing xyz industry..." made me rage because any business/industry/product/service/whatever that doesn't evolve, adapt and innovate deserves to die. Harsh I know but business is competitive and consumers do not owe their hard earned cash to anyone that doesn't work to earn it. Pay attention to your competition and to your customers - they will tell you what they want and how to stay relevant! - Heather

19.01.2022 #5 making your social media sparkle with help from the "Flairy Godmothers" In the social media world, timing is everything. The best content in the world is wasted if no-one sees it. By scheduling your post to capture when most of your audience have their eyeballs online, you immediately increase your chances of organic engagement. By looking at the insights section of your business page, you'll see the data you need to maximise timing. Be aware of tim...ing differences - facebook displays Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)- which is 17 hours behind Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). Hmmm, that statistics class and maths lesson is all coming back to you now isn't it? For more Flairy Godmother Advice, see https://flairmarketing.net.au/social-media-posts-a-recipe/

17.01.2022 FLAIRY FAQS: Which Social Media Platform should I use? # My fridge is magical: Put a block of chocolate in it and in 24 hours I can guarantee it will have disappeared - so it is with Stories! These magical gems run for a few seconds and are only visible to the public for 24 hours. Stories are great for behind the scenes tours, 24 hour specials, shout outs and quick videos to show the culture of your business. They require minimal set-up or preparation and can be created from a still image, or a video. Great for algorithms, but timing is important for this media - pick the day when your highest audience is online to gain maximum exposure.

14.01.2022 Vote for us! ...or Salt Studios Commercial... there’s lots to love about both!

14.01.2022 Mareketing Typos... Pedestrians = free for all, as long as you use caution https://zcu.io/mEYc

13.01.2022 Develop your business with your niche in mind. You'll never please everyone and you shouldn't want to, as you deter the wrong audience you'll attract the right one.

13.01.2022 #6 making your social media sparkle with help from the "Flairy Godmothers" Like Strawberries and Chocolate, there are just some things that are better together! It's the same for social media platforms. Instagram tells stories through images; Facebook discusses and connects through conversation; while YouTube's vehicle is videos. Your business does not have to be represented across all social platforms, but whichever you use should be high quality and re...present the core values and identity of your business and aim to connect with your ideal client. Trying to connect with all people across all platforms is an exercise in exhaustion! Select what your business is trying to communicate, check how it does that best, and then choose the social media platform best suited to this. 12.01.2022 Small businesses working with small business means a personalised and unique solution to every situation - no cookie cutters here! <3

11.01.2022 #4 making your social media sparkle with help from the "Flairy Godmothers" Choose your words carefully. As my journalism lecturer once said, "There is no unbiased language". You may find a post amusing, however reading from a different perspective could be interpreted very differently. Avoid a tone deaf post by being sensitive to nuances in language. Before you hit "post" on that post: Read. It. Out. Loud. Those silly spelling errors are a quick and eas...y way to reduce your credibility! However, if copy writing is just not your skill set, consider outsourcing this task. The Flairy Brains Trust will happily hook you up with one of our wordsmiths! 09.01.2022 Mareketing Typos... Ok...how many times do we need to say, ask other people's opinion before finding alternate ways of spelling things...! Or just stick to learning to spell... this also works!

08.01.2022 {MAILCHIMP} Dismissing email marketing as old, irrelevant or too much hassle is a digital marketing mistake! It's a great way to share relevant information with your customers, keep in touch, and build relationships with potential clients before asking them to buy. Mailchimp is a force that most people are familiar in this field and with good reason - it's simple and integrates with a huge range of other platforms. Just like any digital marketing tho, make sure you give more than you ask for to avoid that 'unsubscribe'!

08.01.2022 #7 making your social media sparkle with help from the "Flairy Godmothers" You've crafted an amazing post, so now comes the fun part - ENGAGEMENT! Keep an eye on who is commenting and reacting to your post, and return serve, by thanking them for their engagement. Long winded conversations are not required, but building relationships does takes communication. So make an effort by saying thank you, react to their comments, send a link with further informati...on or perhaps tag an affiliate business. Get in there! 07.01.2022 No one sees themselves as the damsel in distress, waiting for your product to come and save them but so much marketing pitches the business as the saviour! Change the narrative to how the buyer fixes their own problem by cleverly incorporating your product or service and watch your response and engagement change!

07.01.2022 THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX There are thousands of unique ways to post, so use them! Creativity can help you connect with and create many new advocates for your small business! Struggling? 03.01.2022 #3 making your social media sparkle with help from the "Flairy Godmothers" Before sharing content on Social Media, ensure your meaning is clear. Imagine you share a picture of your dog chewing a tool in your workshop. Despite the cute image and funny caption, your audience may instead see a lack of attention, or even carelessness within your workspace. Perhaps they would then fear you may also be inattentive when working on their product. CONTEXT withi...n your CONTENT is important! Check the message on every level before sharing on social media platforms. If it is not in line with the values of your business, it is best to find another message. 01.01.2022 We nerd it up and chat about the proposed legislation forcing Facebook and Google to pay publishers to share news stories. What is news? Who wins? Who loses?

01.01.2022 Too many times we forget that customers are people, with complex lives and reasons behind their purchase choices. Investing in your local communities and meeting people where they are is worth more than all the billboards and tv ads in the world <3

01.01.2022 So while for most of this year, we'd love a huge reset, the bad parts of the year have highlighted how vital conversation and connection is for strong mental health. It is offically Liptember and therefore, we'd like to take a moment to encourage the wearing of colourful lippie in the hopes of starting the talk - ARE U OK?
