25.01.2022 Flame Media Group is expanding its production and distribution business by opening a new office based in Munich, Germany . Flame Media GmbH is led by Christian Böhler, CEO & Managing Director and Thorsten Lork, SVP Development & Sales. The two ex-ProSiebenSat.1 managers are focusing on local productions and international co-productions and are developing a slate of documentaries, factual entertainment and magazines programmes. Flame Media GmbH has already secured commissions ...from the German news channel Welt and is currently developing projects for ARTE, BBC, Channel 4, Kabel Eins, National Geographic Deutschland, RMC Découverte, Servus TV, SUPER RTL, TV24 and VOX. 22.01.2022 Flame Distribution has signed an international distribution deal with Bare Knuckle Boxing (BKB), the only licensed Bare Knuckle Boxing company in the UK. The deal gives Flame exclusive worldwide rights to distribute live fights and over 50 hours of archive video including previous bouts and events, and behind the scenes interviews. Over the last two years BKB has seen close to a 40,000 fans walk through the gates at its 20 live events. There are currently 6 events lined up f...or 2020. BKB has close to 150 boxers on its roster, representing 61 countries. Former WBC Heavyweight champions, Frank Bruno, Glenn McCrory (also Sky Sports Boxing presenter for 20 years) and Robin Reid are actively involved as BKB Brand Ambassadors and commentators. Current BT Sports analyst Enzo Maccarinelli provides ringside analysis. Bare-knuckle boxing is the original form of boxing, closely related to ancient combat sports. It involves two individuals fighting without boxing gloves or other padding on their hands. Rounds in a bare-knuckle boxing match are just 2 minutes, and fights are generally shorter, being 3, 5 or 7 rounds. The rules don't allow for kicks, flying kicks, elbows or other strikes seen in the likes of the hugely popular and regularly televised UFC and other MMA events.
