15.01.2022 Thank you to all who have expressed interest in the 2020 Stomp At this stage given the severe drought conditions at our main vineyard on the Granite Belt we are just battling to keep our 25000 vines alive basically watering by hand. We have no dam water onsite and are restricted to buying water. As you can see from the photo this is our main water supply at the vineyard on the Granite Belt. ... Most seasons the vines rely on irrigation to produce a crop and this season that is just not possible. The faint hope is regular seasonal rain which will need to commence very soon for Flame Hill to harvest any fruit this season As such the prospect of a Grape Stomp 2020 are grim, alas no grapes to stomp, however we will hold off making a final decision until after Xmas 2019 On behalf of myself and staff I wish all our patrons a great Xmas and look out for an email confirming Stomp 2020 or otherwise early January 2020

10.01.2022 Montville Verdelho Verjus Verjus is a culinary additive made from unfermented grape juice Hand picked from the Verdelho Vines on the Northern front of the Flame Hill Restaurant Deck and gently basket pressed in the Flame Hill Winery prior to bottling... The grapes were picked just post veraison (colouring) for freshness, a zippy natural acidity while capturing the aromatic tropical nuances Flame Hill Verdelho organically produces. A revelation with all meats white - poultry - pork - rabbit and of course seafood which has always been the natural choice with wine from the same vineyard. Perfect as a salad dressing and adds another layer of flavour to vegetarian cuisine and spicy foods. Our Montville Verdelho Verjus is available for purchase in the Cellar Door A great Christmas gift, or add to your Christmas Salads!

09.01.2022 Dear All As most will have realised 2020 will not be a STOMP year at FLAME HILL Weather has conspired with drought conditions and then hail to write the season off as the worst on record.... Put simply we have no grapes to STOMP and no successful vintage to celebrate All agricultural communities have been impacted by unprecedented extreme weather conditions and moving forward there will be shortages of many products including wine THANK YOU in advance for your support and understanding and please email your expressions of interest for the 2021 STOMP last Saturday in February Regards, Tony Thompson

06.01.2022 Our girls getting their grains from Mick @stillmakersonsdistillery. They absolutely love it when he visits to give them his spent grain which is a byproduct of whiskey he makes just up the road. Not only do they go crazy for it, its saving it from going into landfill while giving them a protein boost.

03.01.2022 Our funky new dragon fruit setup is completely recycled, limiting our impact on the environment! The posts are from the replaced vinyard posts. The rings are from old wine barrels. The retaining wall is re-used sandstone blocks and compost made from our kitchen scraps.

Flame Trees drop their leaves once a year and leave vibrant red bell shaped flowers during the months of Spring and Summer. They dont always flower annually so its been a delight to see so many around the vineyard this year! What better way to enjoy a bottle of wine with the view while sitting under this stunning red Flame Tree! ... We are open 7 Days a week from 10:30am until 5:30pm!
