23.01.2022 The notorious heat exchanger on a 2 piece Brivis wombat ducted heater. We had an avalanche of these with cracks, in units as young as 4 years old last winter. If you have this model get it checked ASAP

21.01.2022 Flame sensors on a ducted heater they often cause the heater to fail on ignition. Often at the start of winter the carbon build up from last season is enough to leave you out in the cold . There are so many things that need checking as well as the all important c/o ( carbon monoxide ) testing . So if you haven’t yet book a $180 service.

20.01.2022 Change over ducted unit . Always get jealous of homes with in floor units, can walk around your house all winter in your summer clothes

14.01.2022 Hi all , to highlight why getting your heater checked is really important , found this today . If you look in the circled area , most of the yellow insulation is ok but scanning left the tell tale sign of burnout blackening , shows this motor could have caused a fire . Even though it eventually tripped the breaker the customer thought it was a different appliance, but were worried enough to get it checked . Can’t say it enough people , every 2 years minimum have your heater serviced and c/o tested. For $180 it’s affordable peace of mind .

11.01.2022 Before and after . One of the most common issues with a ducted system. A lot of people are unaware because in this situation the duct is still close enough for air to creep through , but the huge air loss affects the whole system and the heater works overtime. When we service the system we check for this issue, so once again people, every 2 years get your heater serviced .

02.01.2022 Found this flue set up on a wall heater. Always need to check if your heater install complies to code
