23.01.2022 So let's talk landing pages, and why you need one. Your landing page is a single digital page that houses your lead magnet and is used to collect leads for your business. It should only have one offer and one option; exchange your details (name, email address, phone number etc.) for something of value (your lead magnet). If you're running multiple campaigns with different lead magnets, you should have different landing pages for each offer. Some of the best tips I've lea...rnt about landing pages are: - Less is more! Keep the copy to a minimum because generally, people won't read paragraphs of copy. - Your headline should be a short statement that speaks to the benefits of your offer, not the features. - Your Call To Action button should be an active statement that encourages the lead to take action. - Your Hero Image should be something that represents the brand and/or the campaign. - Make sure the button and colours stand out (but stay on brand). - The less form fields you have the better. Every form field you add reduces your conversion by 10%, so start with name and email address. Have you got a landing page up and running? What are your best tips and tricks? #flamingocreative

21.01.2022 Have you ever wished you could add a few more hours to your work day? We all secretly have this feeling from time to time, because no business owner is immune to one of those days when you wish that productivity was flowing seamlessly, but all you come up against is blocks and procrastination. But stuffing a few more hours into your work day may not be the answer! That’s because it’s difficult to do actual work when you have to keep up with appointments and a long list of o...ther activities that need your attention. If you really want to do more work in a day, you need a strategy to increase your productivity (so that you are working smarter, not harder) and there is a wide array of apps that can help you do just that. In my latest blog I talk about the apps that help me keep Flamingo Creative running and maximise my productivity, read it here: http://bit.ly/2P6RB0u What are the apps that you just can't live without? #flamingocreative
19.01.2022 The digital space is changing so quickly that it is important to create, document, monitor and revise your content marketing strategy. Whether it is videos, photos, blogs, live video or podcasts, reviewing the analytics behind your content allows you to monitor engagement and pivot to make best use of your resources. It also gives you valuable insights into the type of content your audience wants to see from you. Have you looked at your Insight data recently? What trends are you noticing with your content, and how are you crafting your content marketing strategy as a result of it? #flamingocreative

17.01.2022 I don't want this video to just motivate you. I want this video to genuinely inspire you from the bottom of your heart to take action and do that thing that kee...ps you up at night. Do that thing that you're always thinking about throughout the day. Don't listen to what other people have to say, it's your life, not theirs. I want this video to put you on track to actually making a change, stop complaining, and start putting in the work. See more
17.01.2022 By now every digital marketer knows that each page of a website must include a well-chosen and researched keyword or phrase. But many people skip the keyword research step entirely when it comes to blogging. It's a wasted opportunity, because keyword optimised blog posts can help you both now and in the future. Blog posts allow you to target hot, trending topics that wouldn't be worth devoting permanent site content to. You can capture search traffic while that keyword phrase... is popular, and let the post get buried in your blog archives once the trend is over. Blog posts, especially how-to articles, make great evergreen content that not only ranks quickly, but can continue to rank well and pull in traffic for months and years to come. Identify Keyword Opportunities. Before you can target anything, you need to determine what keywords are likely to bring in relevant traffic. The kind of research you do will depend on your goals for the post. You can use Google Trends or Google Suggest to find keywords, as well as third party keyword tools. Here are some tips to keep in mind when writing your keyword-targeted post: - Make sure that your keyword is in the same language that your target market are searching for. For example it’s unlikely that women aged 18-24 are searching ladies dress, they are more likely searching for something like maxi dresses. - Don't forget to use your keyword in the title tag. It's a key signal for search engines. - Even if you're doing a video post, you'll want some text on the page. Use your keyword, and relevant variations on your keyword, in the body of the text. - Use the keyword in appropriate meta tags, such as the meta description and the file name and alt text of your images. Also use it in the title and description of your video. - Use internal linking to your advantage. For example, if you have an index page of videos and another of place on your site that is relevant to your post, add a link to the video from both, with optimised anchor text. - Don't forget to promote your post on Twitter, Facebook, etc. This encourages external linking as well. When you’re writing blogs, do you optimise them? #flamingocreative

16.01.2022 Becoming a thought leader is not something you can create overnight or proclaim yourself. It takes a lot more than one blog, social post or networking event to cement yourself as a trusted figure in any field. It will take a lot of patience, time, hard work and willingness to listen and learn from others. FIGURE OUT YOUR EXPERTISE. Great thought leaders understand their niche. They know where their expertise is most helpful and what their audience values, and they connect th...ose two. So, ask yourself: What do I love? What have I built my career around? What fulfils me? What am I more passionate about than my peers? BUILD YOUR REPUTATION. Spend time online talking about your area of expertise; write a blog, be part of forums and Facebook Groups. This helps you build up your confidence through regular practice, and if people respond well, it should encourage you to continue on your thought leadership journey. You should also spend time connecting with your audience offline; attend meetups and networking events and talk to people about what you do and why you’re so passionate about it! UNDERSTAND YOUR AUDIENCE. As a thought leader, you have to understand the issues that impact your audience (their frustrations and pain points) and offer upbeat, educative advice driven by these issues, not just what your corporate agenda demands. Remember to focus on serving the person you’re talking to, and don’t be afraid to give more than you take. LISTEN TO OTHERS. Thought leaders don't have all the answers, and they're never done learning. You can hone your skills more if you genuinely understand and listen to other people’s experiences, stories. Becoming a thought leader means combining your ideas and your own way of expressing them into an irresistible package of expertise, and most importantly, providing value to others though innovation and inspiration. Who is your favourite thought leader? #flamingocreative

15.01.2022 Yesterday I spent the day at the Success Resources #NACGlobalTour here in Brisbane. It was an interesting day, and lots of talk about success, money and happiness. As always, my biggest takeaways came from the one and only Gary Vaynerchuk 1. Success is not about money, it’s about happiness. And we each have the power to create our own happiness by loving the game, and doing what we love every single day. Find what you love and do that. 2. When it’s selfless, it’s easy. When i...t’s selfish, it’s hard. The value is the punchline. Give more than you take, and constantly be asking how you can provide more value. 3. You can be a successful, genuine, compassionate human being that displays humility and grace and performs at an extraordinary level. It’s not about all the private planes and billion dollar empires. Thanks for your wisdom Gary Did you attend National Achievers Congress this year? What were your biggest takeaways? #flamingocreative
11.01.2022 There's no secret formula to successfully engaging with your audience on social media, but applying the 80/20 rule should always be a big part of your social media strategy. It simply comes down to this: use just 20% of your content to promote your brand, and dedicate 80% to content that really interests your audience and engages them in conversations, and most importantly; provides value. Social media is definitely a large part of your marketing mix. But because people use s...ocial media to be social, they don't want to be subjected to your online sales pitch all the time. Always make it about building relationships, rather than annoying your audience with irrelevant content and boosting your own image. When working on the 20% of content that deals with your brand, your products or services, ensure you include information that benefits your audience. Include a discount, add a special offer, provide useful statistics, etc. Make sure you integrate a persuasive call-to-action that inspires your audience to learn more about your brand, so it could possibly lead to a conversion in the future. Dedicating 80% to interesting content that really caters to the interests and needs of your audience means compiling content from thought leaders with whose ideas and insights you agree with. It supports your thinking, the way you do business, or what you believe is going on in your industry. #flamingocreative
09.01.2022 Did you know that marketers with a documented marketing plan and strategy are FIVE (yes, you read right! FIVE!) times more likely to succeed. In general, marketers with a documented content marketing strategy will be more confident in the effectiveness of their marketing activities, feel less challenged by certain aspects of content marketing, consider themselves more effective in their use of marketing tactics and can justify spending a higher percentage of their overall ma...rketing budget on content marketing. Documenting your content strategy enables you to establish and reaffirm that your team are all on the same page, working towards a unified goal. It also makes it easier to determine which types of content to develop as your brand grows and its positioning evolves. A documented content strategy is also a useful resource to define content marketing KPIs that are in line with your overarching brand goals, and clearly forecast expected content marketing return on investment. Measuring and evaluating your progress toward your goals is a great way to gauge your your team’s efficiency, and puts you in a great position for future growth. Does your business have a documented marketing plan? If so, do you feel more confident because if it? Let me know in the comments! #flamingocreative

05.01.2022 Hi There! I’m Claire, the founder of Flamingo Creative. So, usually I like to stay in my safe place (behind the scenes) but I’m making an effort to get out of my comfort zone and to share a bit more of myself here on socials! So to let you all know a bit more about me;... My coffee of choice is a piccolo , but I’m super fussy about how I take it (and every barista makes it differently ), so I normally order an espresso with cold milk on the side Travel is one of my big passions in life and I generally live in a state of a) eagerly anticipating stepping on the plane to my next destination ( Greece in September this year!) or b) daydreaming about where in the world I should go to next I’m a born and bred Brisbane girl, and honestly wouldn’t want to live anywhere else Indie rock from the early 2000’s is my jam seriously, I’m still blasting those tunes on repeat 15 years later! My spirit animal is flamingo and why is there no flamingo emoji??? So now that you guys know a bit about me, I’d love to hear about you! Introduce yourself in the comments and let me know how you take your coffee, your favourite era of music or what your spirit animal is! #flamingocreative

02.01.2022 Every business has a different audience it wants to reach. So it’s important to find the right strategy for your business. What works for one business will not necessarily work for another. There are a range of different things you can incorporate into your overall marketing strategy, depending in the phase of business your are in, in order to be noticed by your audience. Some easy to implement marketing activities you can incorporate are: BLOGS... Blogs are one of the best-known strategies and is generally used to organically attract customers, deliver educational and quality content and position you as an expert. Blogs allow you to showcase your knowledge and provide answers to your audience’s questions, as well as industry news and other relevant topics that your audience will relate to. EMAIL MARKETING Email Marketing is a way of maintaining communication and nurturing your audience and potential customers via email. One of the major benefits of email marketing is that you are not reliant on a particular platform (such as Facebook or Instagram) and you can build trust and keep your audience engaged with your brand. I highly recommend that every brand builds an email list so you will always be able to contact your audience. SOCIAL MEDIA Social Media is a great channel to communicate with your audience and create content that is relevant and informative. It allows your audience to consume and engage with your brand, and helps your brand to be found by a new audience. Social Media is a cost effective way to increase brand awareness, increase brand loyalty and increase your conversion rates by building a relationship with your audience. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION (SEO) On page SEO is the process of optimising your website (including your blogs and articles) with keywords in an effort to rank higher in search engines (such as Google) and get more traffic to your website (and in turn more leads and customers). EVENTS If it is relevant to your business, creating events to interact with your audience is a great way to increase brand awareness and build a relationship with your audience which will in turn, lead to high conversions and brand loyalty. Events are also a great way to collaborate with other businesses with similar target markets to increase exposure and meet new people! Are you currently implementing any of these marketing activities into your current strategy? If so, let me know how they are going and what you plan to implement next! #flamingocreative
02.01.2022 We rise by lifting others. - Robert G. Ingersoll Business can be hard there is no denying it, but when you find your people, those who love you, support you and most importantly know what you are going through, you realise you can take on the world. I’ve been reflecting on my journey as a business owner over the last 2.5 years, and honestly, my whole world has changed. I’ve met the most amazing group of people who have brought so much joy, happiness and laughter to my journey, and have been there for me through the highs and lows (#entrepreneurlife right ). Friendship and connection have been the biggest gifts my business has given me, and I will be forever grateful. To all of you, thank you. Much love, Claire X #flamingocreative
