19.01.2022 This board has some very interesting things going on in the engine room.I first spotted it from a twinny that @venomshaper had a few years ago in Oz,Mark is a very humble guy but was frothing on this weird design he just shaped,and after each Snapper session would come in going "Maaaaate" ,ya gotta do yaself one of these I looked at it and it made total sence.I did play around with it on a variety of hybrid outlines but kind of left it on the drawing board for a while. Just... recently I bought it back to life as a high performance shortboard by adding the Virus/Antidote outline taking some of the depth from the concave, added some rocker,lowered the rail,etc etc..... At first it felt like it was pushing water but after a while it was the total opposite.This thing pretty much goes bannanas in any waves with a little push.A very good barrel riding board ,the side panels/ (basicly wide chines, ) allow it to slip into the barrel with ease from very late take offs and it has a very nice line through caves. If your after something different from your standard sin/dbl/con set up,like getting tubed and burying some rail the T-Ram is a good thing. 11.01.2022 Portugal ,great friends great times and great waves,what a country!! I shaped at @sposurf for many years, the friendships formed there are life long. @hugocartaxana and the lads are absolute legends and those years where indeed a big help in advancing my shapes,the lads live surfing,and we split the time between the shape bay and the ocean, which for me helped a lot in getting those curves down.I was living in France and on the regular shape missions to Portugal I would drive... straight from France to Coaxas ,Red Bulled up to the eyeball and hook straight into one of my favourite waves in the world,wake up next day at Santa Cruz shape for a few hours then hunt the coast for waves...this was the routine for many years...muito bom!!! Chucking peace signs and sneaking out the doggy door over about 10 inches of water is worthy of the claim to dad sitting in the boat in the channel. Hopefully travel restrictions will be lifted in the near future so people can get back for thier Indo fix and give a well needed boost to the local economic situation,there's been no government hand outs and people realy are feeling it. 05.01.2022 It's been a good period for tweaking older models and bringing new ideas into frutation.My 6'0" TwinnPinn didn't need any changes and is still my go to board when the ocean starts to dish out some power with barrels. There has been a change in FPT ( High Performance Twin ) I've taken the flyer out and now it had a clean round pin outline, reminiscent of the early 80's twin fins ,the rocker /concave set up is still the same as the FPT. I call this model now the Clean Skin Twi...n. Just recently I've been playing with a high-performance version of the Tunnel Ram which I'd only injected into hybrid outlines in the past, with only minimal success. I knew this design had more in it so for this new version I've applied the Antidotes outline and a standard thruster setup and this board goes great. It slips into late drop barrels with ease and is a great board on rail. It prefers waves with some push,and loves a barrel,I'm still tweaking here and there but it's well and truly on track!! I do all of the R&D on my boards first ,then I'll feed it out to mates, team riders and regular clients,get more feed back and take it from there, whether introducing them as new models or putting on the back burner. Recently because of the amazing run of consistent good waves this fine tuning gig has been a lot of fun and working out curves etc becomes a lot easier and faster to apply to foam and fibreglass. 02.01.2022 Brother from a different mother Onzie goo brain temple dog @onz_tha_sugarbarron a few years ago beautifuly positioning himself and his 8'3" Red Barron quad onto the Temple glory train, perfectly captured by Slim and the crew @baliwaves Onz and a fair few others would swap their right nut to get back to the Bukit right now...it's been far to long eh people, hopefully soon the gates open for all to enjoy !!!
