14.01.2022 Most of my photos at Speed Week have been taken using three digital cameras: one being a more formal set up ( Sony) , one using a more photojournalistic approac...h ( Nikon) , and one that is quiet, small and can be more candid (Fuji). It helps to have variety and change one's approach. I have also shot film at Lake Gairdner - although the heat can potentially be problematic. This photo was taken with a Hasselblad CM500 film camera - a 1974 camera which takes a 6cm negative. Posted below is a panoramic image taken with a Fotoman 624 camera which takes a whopping 24x6cm negative. See more

Below is a link where you can download a copy of the plan and details about how to make comment. The Senior DEW Ranger for the Park and the author of the Plan will be at Speed Week on the Monday and Tuesday and will be distributing printed copies and you will be able to talk to them about your concerns and the plan. 07.01.2022 Most people are asleep when in bed, but not me I am designing new flathead parts. The latest in a long line of bits and pieces I have been involved with over the years are my new cylinder heads, no I am not talking about my SOHC heads, these are flatheads. The only way I am going to get my streamliner into the 3 club is to pull a rabbit out of the hat and that is what I have done. Sure I could fit my SOHC cylinder heads but that would change the class that I currently am runn...ing in. The flathead design does have its limitations and in the case of the Ford engine the ports are the problem, so I filled them up with Devcon, (a metallic putty) and created my own external ports. The heads still look like a flathead to a degree, but flow a lot more air and that is what it is all about. An internal combustion engine is basically an air pump the more air it can swallow the more HP it will make, so I am anxiously awaiting the next dyno session to tell me how much more power the engines will be making, because next year my plan is to run 280 mph on gas beating the record set by Kenz & Leslie of 276 mph set with 3 flatheads (over 800 cu inches) and the following year go for the big 3+ on fuel. 01.01.2022 FLATATTACK WENT 230MPH! We have just arrived in Pt Augusta after a fantastic week out at Lake Gairdner. This video is of Kurts very first run in the car. It's very nice to see and hear all the claps and cheers at the end. A big thank you to our old and new crew members, particularly D&D Land Speed Racing Team as well as Dean, Alistair, Shaine, Mark & Wade for their tireless efforts with the car during the week and to Rod for towing the car to and from the lake.... There are HEAPS more photos and videos to come, but first enjoy our favourite one. Cheers, FLATATTACK Team.

01.01.2022 FLATATTACK got a few mentions in 2 magazines this month, Cruzin Magazine and Street Machine Magazine. Thank you again to all those that have helped us along the way. "Next year, the gloves are off!!"
