21.01.2022 Victoria’s Monash Freeway is trialling reduced speed for trucks along a 10km stretch of road in an effort to reduce accidents and increase safety. The trial has trucks’ speed limited to 90km/h with the hope that reducing the speed of trucks will create greater distances between cars and trucks to reduce tailgating and allow cars to navigate more safely around trucks, reducing the likelihood of rear end and sideswipe crashes.
