19.01.2022 Just wanted to check that everyone understands that when you have a crumpet stuck in the toaster and you want to put a knife in to hook it out, just turning the power off at the switch will NOT stop you from being electrocuted? The power plug needs to be pulled out of the socket but even then it is not a good idea in case you inadvertently damage the toaster and then electrocute yourself when you turn it back on. Best not to put anything sharp in the toaster.

That's why it is important to know exactly where you want all your power points and switches as it is much more difficult to get the wires through, once the walls are up. Always happy to make changes later but of course it will add to the cost.
