10.01.2022 Call for Western Sydney professional and emerging artists with mental health concerns and/or disability. Be part of this exciting 14-week program for emerging a...nd professional artists with disability and/or mental health concerns, take your career to the next level and open pathways to professional development. You will be introduced to art educators at The Art Gallery of NSW and respond to selected works exhibited in the gallery. At the Front Up Hub in Seven Hills, you will workshop with professional artists to collaborate and create a work. This program also will include a panel discussion at the Art Gallery New South Wales, collaborative professional development opportunities with Artspace and an exhibition in the early part of 2020. You will work alongside professional artists, collaborate and experiment with multi-art forms, focus on developing your career, add to your portfolio of work and increase your opportunity for further education and/or employment within the arts sector. Artists taking part in this program will be considered for the following positions opening up in 2020: Front Up lead artists who will co-facilitate and lead future Front Up Arts and Cultural and Arts programs. Volunteers to assist and participate in future Front Up programs. Member of the Disability Led Advisory Committee for 2020/2021.
