With the warmer weather creeping up on us & the occasional day in the high 20's they can be under a bit of stress. If you know you have a hot few days coming up in your area, make sure you give them a deep watering at night. 02.01.2022 FUN FACT To perform well and produce good crops, cherries like a cold winter and well drained soils. The best time to plant cherries is during winter. Like most fruit trees they like a feed in spring and autumn. Some cultivars require pollination from another cherry variety to set fruit, but self-fertile varieties such as 'Lapins' and 'Starkrimson' can stand alone.
