23.01.2022 Flemington Cycles and Covid-19. Wow how quickly things have changed! We are dealing with very uncertain times and we at the shop are working hard to make sure all our staff and customers are safe and that we get your bikes back to you before any more restrictions are added to the store staying open! With this in mind we need to follow the guidelines that have been set to protect us and our customers in the store. So as of tomorrow we will limit the number of people in the s...tore at one time during the shop opening hours. We understand that everybody is keen to have their bikes ASAP and we are working so hard to do that but please be patient! There have been several concerning incidents in store over the past days that really make our situations difficult. We are all concerned about the coming months and our procedures to get your bikes to you are working so please don’t try to threaten, Intimidate or force our staff into situations they should not have to face. We will stay open as long as we are able or allowed to, we are constantly reviewing what the State and Federal governments are recommending with our main focus of keeping staff and customers safe. Please look after yourselves, stay safe and remember we will come out the other side of this virus. Thank you for your support of our store and our staff and look forward to fulfilling you ride needs for years to come. Kind Regards Damien See more

19.01.2022 Stage 4 Restrictions. Flemington Cycles like all businesses in the area would like to thank our customers for their support and understanding through what has been a very difficult time. Covid-19 is kicking our butts at the moment and it is time to take a more hard arse approach. Stage 4 restrictions are taking place as of Wednesday 5th Aug 11:59 and with that many businesses are closing for at least 6 weeks. We are one of the businesses that will be able to trade during this... time to keep Emergency services and you going with your bike servicing needs. We will also have some click and collect facilities all this done behind closed doors and within Covid 19 safety guidelines. In saying this we are closing for approximately 1 week to make sure all these new procedures are correctly in place to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. We will be limiting our trading hours for these 6 weeks angling at Monday's/Wednesday's and Friday's 8:30-5:30. There will be some teething problems expected however we will do our best to give the service and custom you are use too! In saying this please stay home, follow the guidelines and only come if you really need. Please follow our Facebook page Flemington Cycles for updated information and for any questions if required. Stay safe, Stay home and remember we are all in this together so reach out and chat to friends, family and other loved ones. Thank you again The Team at Flemington Cycles. See more

16.01.2022 Trading Hours change! The Team at Flemington Cycles have been working extremely hard over what has been a very challenging time during COVID-19 to keep you and your bikes rolling. Like everybody in Victoria we had hoped we had kicked Covid-19 in the butt over the past few months however restrictions have been increased particularly in our area. With this in mind the Team has discussed the need to look at our and that of our customers wellbeing and we have decided to take a ...weeks break, with the store not being open during this period starting Monday 6th July, we plan to return back Monday 13th July at 8:30am however will review throughout the week! We understand this is an inconvenience and hope you can understand our concerns for our staff and community and believe this is a sensible action for us to undertake. If you need to contact the store we will be monitoring our email [email protected] Thank you for your support, please stay safe and we all look forward to getting back to supporting you cycling needs. 15.01.2022 Trading Hours! Exciting news we are once again able to service bikes for the Health and Well Being of Victorians. Which effectively means we are able to do our job again. There are a few restrictions; Customers are still unable to enter the store however our current process of calling when at the store, leaving the bike after we get your job card filled out over the phone, we are disinfecting the bike outside and then bring it in store, this is working well. We are restricted... slightly in the jobs we are able to do, bikes that require emergency works to keep the rider and bicycle safe we can undertake however non essential repairs eg Frame swaps cosmetic repairs are not able to be done during the current stage 4 restrictions. Permitted Workers Permits are no longer required. Customers are able to travel outside their 5km zone to access these services if we are your nearest store. We are very excited to get back to helping keep you and your bikes on the road and Thank all our customers for their understanding and support during the last few weeks of Lock Downs. Our Trading hours are: Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm as of 17th Sept. See more

14.01.2022 The team at Flemington Cycles wishes to inform our valued customers an update on the Covid-19 stage 4 restriction and how they affect our business. Please see below: Revision of workplace restrictions list for metropolitan Melbourne. These restrictions are now in place for our industry:... Bicycle retailers could continue to provide bicycle servicing under the listed criteria of; Vehicle service, maintenance and repair. The Victorian Government has released a subsequent list version 2.0 coming into affect immediately. The revised definition has been modified to; Vehicle repairs and critical maintenance including disinfection From this revised definition and in subsequent discussions with the government, it is the opinion of the BIA that the modified allowable service activities of a bicycle store are; Repair of bicycles required for transport to a permissible workplace or required service (food or care) (Bicycle stores can still undertake click and collect sales) it does not include; general service of bicycles repair of bicycles for exercise This modification has bought the bicycle sector in line with other private transport vehicles including cars and motorbikes. For any further question feel free to call the store on 03 9376 9933 or email us at [email protected]

09.01.2022 We will be Closed this Saturday (ANZAC DAY). This has been a harsh time for many over the past few weeks and easily we forget to remember those things that are so important to us, Family, Friends, Health and Country. There are so many people that fought to build this country and ANZAC Day is that day where we can stop if not only for 1 minute to remember how beautiful people are and Thank those that gave so much for us to have a brighter future! Pick up the phone/Tablet and Thank a person that has served this country, Trust me they will appreciate your thoughts! Stay safe Lots of Love from the Team at Flemington Cycles.

02.01.2022 Re-Opening in Stage 4. The Team have been away for the week working on getting the store ready for Opening Wednesday 12th August. We are now Click and Collect only and have Non Contact servicing facilities for Emergency repairs and Essential Services. We have taken a few extra precautionary measures including we will only be opening Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm until Stage 4 restrictions are lifted. We will be doing some deliveries with small charges included in so...me cases and if there are any returns or refunds we are still of course happy to discuss however would prefer these transactions to be completed after Lock down restrictions have lifted. For those customers requiring new bicycles to get the correct sizing there are charts and sizing recommendations on the Flemington Cycles, Giant and BYK websites, as well as we are more than happy to discuss via phone conversations to give you the best information we can. Our Website is ok at best, we are working on getting it a little more user friendly however for now we plan to put up our bike stock/Available bike numbers with pictures, prices and some information. Thank you for your patience bikes levels are very low at the moment due to the increased demand as well as we are currently in the transition between 2020 models and 2021, we have small deliveries coming most weeks and hope to have more substantial bike numbers in coming weeks. There are a few more product areas we are low on so please contact the store if you require something urgently. Thank you again for doing the right things, the Covid numbers are hopefully looking a little better and I'm sure just like me you are keen to get out and stretch you legs on a biggest scale than we are currently. Stay safe and we are all excited to start helping with your cycling needs, all be it through a closed door. P.s Exercise is an amazing way to feel good and socialize currently it is a bit hard to do both so please give someone a phone hug as there are a lot of people within our community that are struggling and often in silence. Pick up the phone and help a friend. Lets stick together (from a distance) there is a very bright light at the end of this tunnel! See more
