21.01.2022 WINNER!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Wins at Yarra Valley A superb ride by Dean Holland saw ABSOLUTELY NOTHING grab her second career win at Yarra Valley this afternoon. With the track favouring the on-pace runners, Dean kept her in touch with the leaders throughout the race before pulling out to take the lead at the turn, showing the field a clean pair of heals down the straight. She is now unbeaten at Yarra Valley with both of her career wins coming at this track. Congratulations to all of our owners that have shown such patience with this mare.

20.01.2022 Flemington Spring Carnival Review The Flemington Spring Carnival is over for another year. Although we weren’t able to attend in person, there was a plethora of outstanding racing on offer. Bivouac conquered all in the Darley Sprint in the most dominant display of the week. Twilight Payment became the first 8 year old in 82 years to win the Melbourne Cup. Denis Pagan achieved the incredible double of training an AFL team to a Premiership and training a VRC Derby winner. And S...Continue reading

18.01.2022 SOUTH DETROIT We head out to Werribee on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon. SOUTH DETROIT is heading to the races for the first time for the stable. She was a dual winner with Heath Chalmers at Swan Hill, and has shown ability in the past. It's been almost a year since her last run, however she is fit and in good order. She has drawn a tricky barrier, so will need some luck in running. We have our fingers crossed that she has a clear run at the line in the straight. We wish all of our owners the very best of luck. Werribee Race 7 - #14 SOUTH DETROIT

16.01.2022 SNOWS BRO We head down to the Peninsula Cup meeting at Mornington this afternoon with SNOWS BRO chasing a hat trick of wins. "Snowy" is in a rare vein of form with back to back wins at Geelong and Kilmore in October. We are fortunate to retain Daniel Stackhouse, fresh from his Group 3 win at Flemington yesterday. He will be hoping to continue his good form heading into his ride in the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday. "Snowy" is up in class today and unfortunately, he doesn't get muc...h in the way of weight relief with 59kgs. We would have preferred the sting out of the ground, but he has drawn a good barrier and he is in career best condition and form. He has a win on the board at Mornington, a track where he actually started his career with Jason Warren before moving to Flemington. We have our fingers crossed that he can get a clear run at them in the straight and we hope to see his trademark strong finish late in the race. Good luck to all of our Owners. Mornington Race 9 - #4 SNOWS BRO

16.01.2022 HIGH SANDS An exciting day today as HIGH SANDS steps out for her first run for the stable. She has been strong in her work and she looks a treat. We are all excited to see what she can deliver on the track today. She had 3 starts in NSW earlier in her career, where she showed early speed, but faded late. We are hoping that the extra time to mature both physically and mentally will have her better prepared this time out. 33-time Group 1 winner Craig Newitt takes the ride, so we are in safe hands. She has drawn a good barrier (4) and the track is a Good 4 today, so the conditions should be perfect. Plenty of positives to take to the races this afternoon. We ish all of our Owners the very best of luck today. Werribee Race 2 - #9 HIGH SANDS

15.01.2022 We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the Team at our Flemington stables. We are searching for a full time Stablehand/Strapper; stable experience not necessary, but experience in handling horses is a must. This is a Full Time position. Please forward your resume and details to [email protected]

14.01.2022 BLOODWOOD & SNOWS BRO - Pakenham Twilight Racing Thursday 12th November We head down the Monash Freeway this afternoon to Pakenham with two live chances: BLOODWOOD... BLOODWOOD has been in super-consistent form this preparation, but has not been able to break through for that elusive maiden win. 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 3rd in her last 4 starts shows that she has been competitive and close to the mark each time. She steps out over 2500m for the first time tonight, she is rock-hard fit and we know that she will stay all day. We would have liked a bit more rain and the sting out of the ground, but the big track and long straight at Pakenham certainly suits her racing style. Experienced jockey Jamie Mott takes the ride and blinkers go on first time. We have our fingers crossed that today is the day that she can break through for the deserved win. Pakenham Race 1 - #8 BLOODWOOD SNOWS BRO "Snowy" is in career best form with back-to-back wins at Geelong and Kilmore and then a very strong performance at Mornington, when only a length from the winner on the line. He runs into a tough race tonight, but he could not be in any better shape to put his best hoof forward once again. We were praying for a bit more rain, however his performance on a Good 3 track at Mornington was impressive. He has drawn a tricky barrier (10 of 11), but the long straight at Pakenham should play into his hands, allowing him to wind up in the straight and attempt to chase them down. If he can get a nice comfortable sit with cover, we hope that he can get a clear run at the line down the long straight. Pakenham Race 7 - #7 SNOWS BRO Good Luck to all of our owners tonight.

13.01.2022 BAG RAIDER "Bagger" makes his return to the races tonight, after 28 weeks away from the racetrack. He teased us with glimpses of his ability last campaign, a 2nd place at Bendigo his best result. He has been very strong in his training and has done everything we have asked of him this time in. He is a fit and happy horse, was impressive in a recent jump out and he is in great condition heading to the races tonight. We have drawn a good barrier (1) and we have experienced jockey Damian Lane in the saddle. He may find the 1200m a little sharp tonight, but should improve as he steps out over more distance. We hope to see him strong through the line. Good Luck to all of our owners. Pakenham Race 8 - #2 BAG RAIDER

13.01.2022 WRITE TO ROSSA WRITE TO ROSSA makes her comeback under lights tonight at Cranbourne. This will be her third racing campaign and we are hoping to see the best of her during this preparation. She showed plenty of promise in her first race at Werribee, where she was just nabbed on the finish line, after leading all the way. However, she was disappointing last campaign, failing to come up. We have found a nice race for her tonight, as she tackles a 4yo+ maiden over 1000m. Experien...ced jockey Daniel Moor takes the ride and she has drawn an excellent barrier (2). She is fit and in good order, the only question mark will be if she handles the Soft 6 track this evening. With plenty of positives in her favour, we hope that she can put her best hoof forward tonight. We wish all of our Owners the very best of luck. Pakenham Race 5 - #10 Write to Rossa

12.01.2022 SOUTH DETROIT We head back to Pakenham this afternoon for the start of the Synthetic Racing Season. SOUTH DETROIT is on the quick back-up from her run at Werribee last Saturday. There were a couple of heavy showers just before her race last week that made the track very slippery, and she was slipping and sliding down the straight as the pressure was put on. She steps out onto the synthetic surface for only the second time in her career today. She has shown a liking to the polytrack surface at Flemington, so she should have no problems with the surface today. Jason Benbow keeps the ride. She has come on well from that last run and she heads to the races fit and ready to show her best. We wish all of our owners the best of luck. Pakenham Race 6 - #12 SOUTH DETROIT

12.01.2022 CREDIBLE WITNESS Off to Pakenham this afternoon with CREDIBLE WITNESS as he searches for the first win of this campaign. The extra trip (1400m) was a step too far last start, so he is back to 1200m where he has performed so well in the past. His 9 attempts at 1200m have produced a win and 5 placings. It is his first race on the turf at Pakenham, the wide open spaces and the long straight should suit his racing style. It looks a very open race, Rhys Mcleod takes the ride. We are hoping to see the big boy back in the frame this afternoon. Good luck to all of our owners. Pakenham Race 5 - #6 CREDIBLE WITNESS

11.01.2022 "Reliable Man" Sires his 3rd Group 1 Winner What a fantastic spring it has been for "Reliable Man" as he sired his 3rd Individual Group 1 winner on Saturday. The "Wizard" William Pike steering "Inspirational Girl" to victory in the Group 1 Railway Stakes in Perth. "Reliable Man" also had his first Melbourne Cup runner with 2019 VRC Oaks winner "Miami Bound", who won the Group 2 Moonee Valley Cup on Cox Plate Day, to qualify for Australia's greatest race.... "Reliable Man's" 3rd individual Group 1 winner has him listed in excellent company. Of the stallions with their 5th crop racing this year, he sits second only to "Pierro" who has 6 individual Group 1 winners: Pierro - 6 Reliable Man (GB) - 3 Azamour (IRE) - 3 Ocean Park (NZ) - 2 All Too Hard - 2 "Reliable Man" continues to produce stayers of quality and with two Group 1 Oaks winners on his resume already, it's a safe bet that there will be more to come. RELIABLE MAN x LADY'S WISH - 3 year old gelding Check out our "Reliable Man" gelding. Bred to stay, this athletic gelding has arrived at our Flemington stables. From an impressive dam line, "Lady's Wish" has had 3 foals to race for 2 winners and a city placegetter. All of the hard work has been done with this guy and he is in training now. For further details on any of our horses please contact Andy Twist (Racing Manager) - [email protected] or 0447 242224

10.01.2022 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - 3rd It was a much improved performance by ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at Geelong this afternoon. Racing further than 1600m for the first time in her career, she showed us that she can certainly handle the extra distance. She jumped from a tricky barrier and had to sit further back than we would have liked. But as she rounded the corner and balanced up in the straight, she stuck on extremely well and was eating up the margin to the winners in the last 100m, and was very strong through the line. Distance may be the key to this mare going forward and we are excited to see what she can produce in her next few runs. A better barrier and a bit of sting out of the ground would be a real benefit next start.

09.01.2022 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - 2nd at Yarra Valley ABSOLUTELY NOTHING finished her campaign with a very strong second place at Yarra Valley yesterday. Forced to go back in the field from a wide gate, she found cover and settled well at the rear of the field. At the 600m, jockey Dean Holland pulled her out and commenced a sustained run, three wide. He was forced 5 wide on the turn which would prove to be the difference, as she charged home to finish second by a head on the line. It has been a much improved campaign by the gallant mare. Since getting her out over more ground, she has a win, a 2nd place and two 3rd places from her last 5 runs, delivering over $20,000 in prizemoney to her Owners. She will head to the paddock now, a job well done. We look forward to seeing her again in the autumn.

09.01.2022 Stable Update - Stakes Day Saturday 7th November LLESSUR What a thrill it is to have a runner during the Flemington Spring Carnival. We head across the track to the famous Flemington straight with LLESSUR this afternoon. She is aiming for 3 wins in a row after a couple of tough wins at Echuca and Bendigo. She has most definitely earned this opportunity. She has drawn a wide barrier which should suit today. After 36 races over 8 days, the outside rail should be the best part o...f the track. She is well weighted with only 55kgs and Jordan Childs takes the ride. She has had two runs down the straight at Flemington for two third places, beaten a head both times. This is a big step up in class, she is an outside chance in a tough field, but we know that she has a huge heart and we have our fingers crossed that she can get a clear run at the line late in the race. Good luck to all of our Owners. Flemington Race 9 - #16 LLESSUR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING We head down the Princes Highway to Geelong with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as she attempts to step out over 1700m for the first time in her career. She has been working hard to build her fitness over the past couple of months, so as to get her out over more distance. She is rock-hard fit, is in great order and looks terrific heading into the race today. Dean Holland takes the ride and from an outside barrier, will look to have her sat comfortably with cover. We hope to see her finishing off strongly late in the race. Good luck to all of our owners. Geelong Race 5 - #11 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

08.01.2022 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING We head out to one of the most picturesque racecourses in Australia today as ABSOLUTELY NOTHING heads to Dunkeld Cup Day on the quick back up. Nestled at the foot of the Grampians, Dunkeld is famous for it's stunning backdrop and has been voted in the Top 10 Most Picturesque Racetracks in the World. The course has no permanent grandstands or seating and is not even supplied with power. What makes the Dunkeld races so impressive is that everything barring th...e course itself is set up from scratch to host its annual Dunkeld Cup. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was impressive at Geelong last start, charging home from the rear of the field for a strong 3rd place. She pulled up extremely well from that run, so we have decided that the short back-up is the way to go. Gun apprentice jockey Campbell Rawiller takes the ride and the SOFT 6 track should suit her far more than the firm surface at Geelong last week. We have our fingers crossed that she can stay out of trouble and get a clear run at the line. She is rock-hard fit and if she can run up to the same level as last week, she is going to be very competitive. Good luck to all of our owners today. Dunkeld Race 5 - #8 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

07.01.2022 WRITE TO ROSSA "Rosie" heads up the Western Highway to Ballarat this afternoon looking for the first win of her career. She steps out over 1400m for the first time today. She has drawn a good barrier, so should get a nice sit in behind the speed. The GOOD surface definitely suits and Ben Allen takes the ride. With 5 first starters in the race, it's always difficult to line up the form. We hope to see her finishing off strongly, late in the race. Good luck to all of our owners. Ballarat Race 4 - #11 WRITE TO ROSSA

06.01.2022 Flemington stable seeking a proficient Track Rider. Must be capable of riding young challenging horses, track gallops, must be reliable and available Monday-Saturday from 4:30am. Paid for a minimum 6 rides a morning and favorable fees for experienced riders. Please send your resume to [email protected]

05.01.2022 ALLANO "Allan" makes his return to racing tonight at Sandown. His first campaign for the stable was encouraging. A strong 3rd place at Warrnambool showed that he still has the quality to perform at this level. Apprentice jockey Lachie Niendorf takes the ride and provides a handy 2kg claim. He has drawn wide, which shouldn't be a problem as he will settle in the second half of the field. We will be looking for him to relax in the run and we hope to see him strong through the line late in the race. This is the first step on his journey to get out over more ground, so whatever he does today, he should improve upon. Sandown Hillside Race 8 - #3 ALLANO

04.01.2022 SNOWS BRO In the form of his life, SNOWS BRO heads up to Kilmore this afternoon looking for the 3rd win of this campaign. The uphill straight at Kilmore can catch a lot of horses out if they are not fit enough, and the undulating track can put many horses off their game. Kilmore was the site of his last win 5 weeks ago, so we know that he likes the track. After back-to-back wins, he has stepped up in class to Benchmark 70 level and handled himself extremely well. He has only ...been a length away from the winner in his last 2 runs and with a little bit of luck, may have pinched another win. Any rain this afternoon will certainly help. Daniel Stackhouse is back in the saddle. We have our fingers crossed that he can get a clear run at the line and unleash his trademark finish late in the race. Good luck to all of our owners. Kilmore Race 8 - #7 SNOWS BRO

02.01.2022 Stable Update - 3 Metro Runners This Weekend We have an exciting weekend ahead with 3 Metro runner over the next 3 days: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING heads to Moonee Valley tonight on the back of some very strong form, including her impressive win at Yarra Valley last start. She is in great order and has been doing everything right on the track. Dean Holland keeps the ride and she looks well weighted with just 56kgs. She has earned her crack at a Metro run with her consistent form over the past 6 weeks and we have our fingers crossed that she has an incident-free run and gets a clear run at them in the straight. I know that there are a few owners heading out to The Valley tonight to cheer her on. We wish all of our Owners the very best of luck. Moonee Valley Race 6 - #12 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LLESSUR LLESSUR will use her home-ground advantage as she heads over to the famous Flemington straight to contest the "Legends Trophy" (BM78) over 1100m on Saturday. She has two 3rd places from 3 starts over this distance at Flemington, and has shown that she can handle the straight course. She was solid at The Valley last start in a race that wasn't run to suit. She should be far more at home down the straight tomorrow. Damian Lane is back on board, she has drawn a good barrier and looks well weighted with 56.5kgs. We wish our Owners the best of luck as LLESSUR attempts to give Scott his first Flemington winner. Flemington Race 9 - #11 LLESSUR BAG RAIDER "Bagger" completes our trifecta of runners for the weekend as he heads up the Calder Highway to his favourite track at Bendigo. He has raced twice at the track for his only Australian win and was runner-up in the final race of his last campaign. His run at Pakenham last start, when first up from a spell, was better than it looked on paper. He was only 3 lengths away on the line and he didn't get a clear run at any stage in the straight, going to the line untested. He gets out over a more distance on Sunday and will be better for his first up run. Damian Lane stays in the saddle and the 60kgs shouldn't be a problem as he has carried this weight to win previously. He has drawn a tricky barrier (9), so we have our fingers crossed that he can get a comfortable sit during the race and gets a clear run at the line in the straight. Good luck to our Owners as "Bagger" chases win number 3 of his career. Bendigo Race 7 - #3 BAG RAIDER

01.01.2022 DIAMONDSANDPEARLS After her promising first-up run at Kyneton, DIAMONSANDPEARLS heads to Pakenham tonight for the second run of her campaign. She showed plenty of promise last start and was strong through the line, so the extra distance should suit tonight. Experienced jockey Damian Lane takes the ride and should take a comfortable sit, with cover, from a wide barrier. The long straight at Pakenham should be ideal for her to work through her gears and hit the line strongly once again. We still believe that the further she gets, the more she will improve, with a great depth of staying blood through the dam line. At only her 3rd career start, she is still learning what it's all about. We wish all of our Owners the very best of luck. Pakenham Race 4 - #5 Diamondsandpearls

01.01.2022 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING We head out to Yarra Valley this afternoon with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as she attempts to add another win to this campaign. Absolutely Nothing went right for her at Moonee Valley last start, when she was caught at the front of the field, without cover, pulling her head off, and just didn't settle at all. She heads back to the scene of both of her career victories and contests a race identical to the one that she won here back in late November. Dean Holland reta...ins the ride and knows the horse well. We have drawn a tricky barrier (9 of 12), so we will see how the track plays before deciding on our race strategy. She is rock-hard fit and looks in terrific order going into the race. We have our fingers crossed that she gets a bit of luck in running and can finish this campaign with a strong result.
