16.01.2022 In the last few weeks there have been an increase in the amount of suspected canine (kennel) cough cases around the local region What is canine cough? It is an infectious disease that affects the respiratory system. It is highly contagious and can spread rapidly from dog-to-dog. It is a persistent cough that owners often describe as if their dog has something ‘caught in their throat’. Just like the flu, some dogs may recover without intervention and with strict R&R, but oth...ers may need antibiotics and supportive help To avoid your dog becoming unwell, talk to us about the Canine Cough vaccination This is mandatory for all dogs who visit boarding kennels, but we recommend it for any dog that goes out and about on walks, to dog parks or the beach. . . . . #caninecough #kennelcough #newcastlensw #newcastlenow #vetsinnewcastle #vetnewcastle #fletchervet #dogvaccine
