06.01.2022 Today marks a significant day in our recovery in South Australia. On the 20th of December 2019, our special Adelaide Hills region was substantially impacted by ...the Cudlee Creek fire which destroyed more than 70 homes, 404 outbuildings, 227 vehicles and tragically, one life was lost. As most of us looked on from across the state, it wasn't until after Christmas that the true devastation to our nature, wildlife and lives was realised. But today, we see nature has a way of healing itself and with the power of people, communities are healing too. The regeneration you see in this footage was only captured a few days ago and while we still see scars, we also see hope. Birdsong is deafening, kangaroos are content, flora is flourishing and the community is closer than ever. On the 3rd of January, we'll mark the one year anniversary of the Kangaroo Island bushfires and we'll be sharing something bigger to celebrate regeneration in both these regions. While filming this footage and listening to the stories of those affected, we are passionate about encouraging you all to witness regeneration. Spending time watching nature rebirth and heal is reason enough to visit our bushfire affected communities.
