19.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH BE THE CHANGE ANIMAL SHELTER INC - Honey and Des are 5 year old Siberian husky female and male, they are a bit like chalk and che...ese in their own personalities. Both of these beautiful dogs were surrendered Through no fault of their own and with very limited information. Honey is on the smaller side she is a very affectionate girl. A bit about her - she is a digger so will need a secure property she will always need to be fed separately to Des as she will fight with him otherwise. She is gentle taking treats from people though. She loves to roll over for tummy rubs but is head shy and will flinch when you go to pat her. Both dogs have had incredibly limited exposure to the world around them. As for Des he loves kids (honey does to) but we are looking for a home with children older than 8 for this pair as they will knock small kids over. Des can be stubborn so will need a confident strong handler as he responds brilliantly to someone he can take the lead from. Someone with breed experience is preferred for this pair. They cannot be rehomed into a rental property or a home with cats or pocket pets. They need firm but gentle training to teach them the ways of the world they are a highly intelligent (also very stubborn) working breed who are not for the novice dog owner. Adoption fee $550 for the pair See more

15.01.2022 PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China. Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a... toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes. They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog. Please be safe with your dogs!

02.01.2022 U Fink We Did Dis?

01.01.2022 Hi it’s Wally here. Can you help me? I need you to share my plight. See I’ve been looking for a home of my own for months now and I can’t understand why nobody... wants me. Perhaps they just haven’t found me yet? I was feeling pretty bummed until I read what my foster mum wrote about me. I don’t want to brag but she called me Mr Personality! And here’s what else she said He is the most beautiful, loyal, loving goofball of a dog. Nudges you for cuddles, talks to you and does this amazing ‘happy dance’. He is a boy who will always be your companion and never leave your side, such a joyous boy. I would have kept him in a heartbeat if my circumstances had been different. See? I good boy! I am a mastiff x and I think I’m about 5 years old. I was abandoned on the highway between Wallaroo and Kadina a few months ago. I tried to be brave but it was pretty scary and it’s taken a while for me to regain my confidence. I also haven’t had much exposure to many things in the world. My foster mum said I was great with children, but given my size BTC reckons I’d be best with a family without young kids. Also coz things are all a bit new to me I’m looking for a home without other pets. I also got this thingy called hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is graded in severity from 1 being mild to a 4 which is severe and I’m at a 2/3. I need medication for the rest of my life and need to go to the vet every 6 months for a review. Sounds bad but in reality, the medication really helps me and I’m still really active. In fact, BTC says I am a strong boy on the lead so have to go to a home where someone can handle a big boy like me. BTC has even offered to pay for my medication. So in a nutshell here’s what my furever home might look like: - Someone who is retired or works from home or part-time - Someone who owns their own home (I need stability) - No other pets (I’m still getting used to stuff) - No small children (I’m a bit clumsy) - Large dog experience and strong handler (I’m a big boy) - Someone who wants to be loved and likes giving pats and cuddles I’m even happy to go on a trial with you I know I can win you over just give me a chance. Pretty please with slobber on top. Love Wally Please PM the page if interested. Alternatively send an email to [email protected] and request an adoption questionnaire See more
