25.01.2022 Savannah and Craig 23.4.21 | These two lovers got together purely because of Savannah’s sister, Mad’s, persistence... You see Mads and Sam (Mad’s hubby) both ha...d a dream... Sam simply wished to be not just Craig’s bro, but his actual brother and Mads dreamed of a day her sister would meet her one true love and of the creation of the awesome foursome... So they kept trying to set these two 10s up...no dice...for ages... Because Savannah thought being set up was kinda cringy.... she wasn’t having bar of it. Then after Sav had made the move to Sydney for work, she popped home for her bro’s 18th birthday partyMaddi was rubbing her hands together with glee. She finally got them in the same place at the same time when Craig crashed the party. Sav knew exactly who this guy was so in an attempt to avoid the elephant in the room, she walked straight up to him and introduced herself. The rest is history as we stood in the sunshine overlooking the rolling vines at the gorgeous @theretreatchapelhill on their wedding day 2.0 (coz Rona). We made it and it was epic @stylingwith_savannah and Craig !!! 23.01.2022 Mel and James 1.4.21 | April fools day was spent celebrating the awesome love these two cracking humans share! Mel and James have known each other for years an...d even though their banter has always been on point and they both love a good yarn, they spent ages just bumping into each other around the traps through their group of mates and mutual interests. With many similarities in their lifestyles, their time together just got easier and easier naturally, bonding over all of their favourite things, including camping and large sporting events. oh and of course having a few beverages at these events. So, it is only fitting that their love story officially started after a few ‘sherbets’ on the hill at Adelaide oval, then Mel took advantage of the young. slightly intoxicated James on North Terrace afterwards. I must say I welled up a bit when Mel made her entrance escorted by her mum and brother because along with looking breathtaking in her gown, James had chosen the 1st of April as their anniversary to celebrate for years to come so that they may add positivity to this date in the future, because they had sadly said goodbye to Mel’s beloved father on this date. Such an emotionally charged moment . 18.01.2022 From all of us at Barn1890 here is just a very small window into the effects of Covid on your wedding day here in SA, not just once but twice this year! There... is a thread that all brides will feel when told your wedding day is cancelled or can’t go ahead. They are sad, disappointed, confused, angry and experiencing a myriad of other emotions. These emotions are all so valid. There are so many hours planning, prepping and dreaming up this day that has now been postponed. There is a hope and expectation that has now been deferred to a postponed date, and that is a difficult thing to process. Couples have probably been planning this huge day for months, if not years. Some pour all the money they have in the world into it, all the hype and anticipation builds up as you collect table decorations, taste cake samples, go to dress fittings and visit the venue ‘just one last time’ to try and imagine yourself there with all your friends and family on your special day Weddings take so much time and effort to plan, and often your original date was special and chosen for a specific reason. Covid sucks fact... however we do want to thank all our amazing couples for being so understanding and gracious in what is a truly difficult time.
