Although it is not new to those of us who work in the industry, Transport and Logistics is struggling to recruit young people into the industry, leaving us with an aging workforce. So what do we do about it. I would challenge every T&L companies across Australia to pledge to take on at least 1 trainee under 35 years of age. Not only would it give someone a brilliant opportunity to start a career in a booming industry (think where all those items that are no longer manufactured here need to be stored and then transported) but it would be helping to maintain an Industry that will be supplying many jobs for a long while into the future.
