25.01.2022 This photo is a throwback to 7th May 2019 - the last yin class I taught at Kanti before I went on maternity leave. I'm happy to say that I'll be back teaching regular classes from tonight! A late night class, just in time for daylight savings later sunsets and a lovely wind down and destress before bed. As always I'll be using Yoga Tune therapy balls combined with long hold yin yoga poses where you will feel immediate shifts in your body and mind. ... Join me at Kanti Yoga studio , Cumberland Park, Tuesday nights 745-845pm. Please bring a towel if you are using the studio bolsters, BYO yoga mat if possible and I stock the entire Yoga Tune Up range of you wish to purchase your own set of magic massage balls which I highly recommend!

19.01.2022 Awesome crew yesterday at our final Yoga for Cyclists session, use of all 4 Yoga Tune Up ball sizes to roll and release all those tight spots! We released our hip flexors, glutes, TFL, quads, hamstrings, calves, upper back and shoulders and neck + learnt the skill to keep these areas in top condition at home. Very international group yesterday and so great for our state to have so many tourists in town for the Tour Down Under ... Happy Australia Day! @ Giant Adelaide
11.01.2022 I'll be back teaching public classes as of next Tuesday evening - come and join me for some Yin, Roll and Release
10.01.2022 Stressed out by the social dilemma? Let's log on to a new flow. #nofilter #blessed
07.01.2022 Bubs has been earthside for 5 weeks already, I've only just emerged from our newborn bubble and straight into a yoga retreat this past week! In Chinese culture the first month (confinement) is a period of rest and repair for the mother, and whilst I didn't follow many of the traditional rules (such as not having a shower or washing your hair for the month) , I did enjoy the nourishing home cooked foods designed to repair the body and found it beneficial to lay low and not try... to do too much. There is already plenty to do at home with washing what seems like a zillion cloth nappies and trying to get out of my PJs by midday! This little guy is a milk monster (pictured breast feeding) and I have to say the feeding part has been the hardest so far. Sitting here with a Haakaa pump on one side and Spectra on the other, trying to build supply so I can keep this hungry guy fed! 06.01.2022 Apart from the Trina Altman workshops, it's taken 6 months to get to a yoga class. Even better that Mitchell can come too! At times not much yoga was being done on an asana level as babies needed tending to, but lovely to be present on the mat with @authentikyogi guiding us through the experience My already flexible body needed strength and stability during my pregnancy so I had to be very careful with my joints, especially SIJ. It really feels like forever since I've been able to do a physical yoga practice but I was already prepared that I'd have to surrender this (hopefully only temporarily) as bubs is #1 right now. How time flies!
05.01.2022 Final Yoga for Cyclists class tomorrow morning This class wil focus on R E C O V E R Y so if you've just completed the @westpac TDU challenge ride today, you'll be in with a treat. We'll focus on slow stretches and Roll and Release work using Yoga Tune Up massage balls focusing on neck, shoulders, back and other special request areas (we've already covered quads, hip flexure, hammy, calves and glutes on our weekday classes but I'm sure no one would mind revisiting these areas!). Join us at @katushacycling pop up store @pushysonline @giantadelaide Hindmarsh Square 9-10am Saturday, FREE class! Mats supplied by @lululemonausnz
05.01.2022 Hello! I haven't been showing up online since baby Mitchell arrived (he is already 13 months and walking now!) but rest assured, we have been well and busy during this crazy time. Even though I'm not back teaching classes and workshops to the general public, I have been studying with my teacher Jill Miller (creator of the Yoga Tune Up and Roll Model methods) online, and one of the small blessings of the pandemic is the incredible online content that is available from all of ...the leading movement teachers to anyone around the world. Unfortunately the weekly Zoom happens to work out to be 2am Friday morning in Australia so I am probably going to be stuck watching the replay. If I didn't work full time as a front line health professional and have a cranky, night waking bubba I would definitely be up for it! I'm really excited about this week's neck program and I know many of my students are also baby holders, key board warriors or cyclists and might also like to enjoy some of this neck therapy material. You don't have to be a teacher to join and you can just watch individual classes rather than sign up to the weekly/monthly programs. Click the link if you want more information. I will be sharing what I've learnt when I do get back on the mat teaching, in the meantime I'm enjoying experiencing different ways to roll and move.
03.01.2022 Happy breastfeeding week to all the breastfeeding mamas out there! Scrolling through phones and eating snacks one handed at 3am Of course, fed is best so well done to ALL the new mums out there, it's hard work! Mitchell isn't always calm and happy during bath time, but having a feed usually fixes that
03.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone! I'm happy to say that the weather is looking fantastic for the Tour Down Under next week (and Women's race is already underway). I'll be teaching yoga for @KATUSHAsports pop up store at Hindmarsh Square @giantadelaide this coming week on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday morning, 9-10am.... Please come down and enjoy some stretching and Roll and Release work with the Yoga Tune Up balls @Tuneupfitness to target tight neck, shoulders, glutes, hamstrings, quads and calves. No yoga experience necessary, mats and equipment provided. Please indicate your attendance on the Katusha Sports Facebook event (link in Bio) so they can save a mat for you!
