23.01.2022 To the pool! . This was a couple of days ago here at Caloundra. . I’m so happy that it was hot and Sunny while we had family visiting us.... . We had a great time at both the man made saltwater pool next to #Kingsbeach and the natural tidal pool where we spotted all sorts of interesting sea creatures. When the tide is just right (which luckily it was) you can sit in the #rockpool and an occasional wave will splash up and into the pool. It’s a must if you are visiting #caloundra ! Just be very careful on the rocks as they get super slippery!! Especially around the ocean facing edges. . . Back to work now for me! So a little Instagram is easing me back!! . . . . 22.01.2022 Creativity is something that we are given for FREE, yet it is regularly TAKEN from us at a HUGE COST . Just a little something that I have been pondering lately. I am getting really close to going live on the official Pre-Crowd campaign activity (which is really exciting!!) and it’s brought me back to thinking about just how often the people with the real creative talent have been exploited by greedy people with power. Sadly it’s pretty much a history of the ages. I can see t...hat it would have taken place ALL the way back in time. . BUT, on a positive!! I am working on a solution to help stamp out that sort of behaviour, to give creatives, musos, filmmakers etc a fairer deal than they have perhaps had in the past. . 13.01.2022 I feel as though hesitation and doubt are my enemies right now. I don’t mind criticism, as long as the people criticising have actually taken the time to watch the Flicks4good crowdfunding campaign video. I know that it’s 15 minutes long, but it’s not made for Tik Tok and surely as a global society, if someone is going to make a claim as bold as I believe that I have figured out a way to make Billions of dollars for good causes that should warrant a little investigation!? E...specially as the average person spends between 1 2 hours on social media each day. Most of it mindlessly scrolling or getting caught in the loop of ENDLESSLY interacting? Hey I am as guilty as the next person. But also, come on, you can fit it in. . Also, I need people to know that whist my goal is to raise $1 Billion dollars, there are a number of fall back plans, should we end up raising less, scaling ALL THE WAY BACK, down to something pitiful like $20,000. 03.01.2022 Just because something HASN'T been done, DOES NOT mean that it can't be DONE! Many people say that there is no such thing as a new thought/idea these days. In fact, I have been told before (and agree with mind you) that by the time that you think of an idea, you are probably 1 of 5 people in the world who have come up with the exact same idea. However, out of the 5, 3 have already quit, many before they even start, so now that leaves 2 of you. Your job is now figuring out how... to beat the other player/s. Well, this time (after consulting with a mix of people from around the world), I have come up with an idea that I think most people will give up on before they start. They will think, that's just crazy, there is no way that someone can come from nothing to take on the biggest tech giants of the world, OR competitor X spends billions of dollars per year on content...how can you compete?? etc. etc. etc. Fear, fear, fear. Well...that's a big reason why I am going for this, attempting to do the seemingly impossible, actually really excites me! It must be my thrill/experience seeking nature, or my high appetite for risk...who knows? All I know is that I have never been more motivated and driven by something in my life! I am consumed with the desire to make this happen and I am so excited by the idea of doing it all together. Not me, but US. A group of people from all over the world, all walks of life, who want to make the world a better place!! I was due to launch the official campaign this week, but I have had some interest from an investor who I have known for many years, so as such I need to put some time into that...however, we are definitely kicking off in the next few weeks, so watch this space!
