15.01.2022 Flight Centre charity partner @youngcareoz recently unveiled a state-of-the-art Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) in Wooloowin, Brisbane. We're extremely proud to support the Youngcare Connect team, a not-for-profit focusing on closing the gap in the disability housing sector. . The new facility [pictured] provides housing and full-time care for residents requiring high care. Over the past 8 years, Flight Centre has donated over $1.4M to @youngcareoz through fundraisers such as Pub Choir, Budgie Bolt, Youngcakes, and Christmas Gift Wrapping which we will be continuing again this holiday season. . Lathom is photographed with his parents Margaret and Stephen and is looking forward to moving into his new home.

The not-for-profit organisation is dedicated to protecting Australia's unique animals, plants and habitats something our country needs now more than ever. Which is why were proud to have been able to support the company's traineeship program which has been running for the last couple of years. This past year's trainee was Tash Richards, who undertook wor...k-based learning and practical skills training as part of a full-time traineeship based on Carnarvon Station Reserve. Under the guidance of the Carnarvon Team, and with the support of the broader Bush Heritage Family, Natasha recently completed her Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management. Congratulations Tash, we look forward to hearing more about your new ranger role at Carnarvon Gorge National Park!

The 2021 World’s Best Cities list has been released, with five Aussie capitals among the contenders including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. .... Data from the UN's World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) confirms the massive drop in international travel demand over the period January-June 2020 translated into a loss of 440 million international arrivals and about US$460 billion in export revenues from international tourism. This is around five times the loss in international tourism receipts recorded in 2009 amid the global economic and financial crisis. . Tassie announced this week that it would accelerate its border reopening to Victoria from November 27, ahead of the previously planned date of December 1. .
