14.01.2022 When your parents work in Aviation.....

14.01.2022 There is something so satisfying about this plane being stripped and repainted with new livery. On average, 189 litres of paint are needed to paint a Boeing 737. Once dry, the paint alone will weigh around 113 kilograms. This is a large scale operation!

07.01.2022 The is the only picture ever taken of a Concorde flying at Mach 2 (2,450 kmph). It was taken from an RAF Tornado fighter jet, over the Irish Sea, in 1985. They ...only had a few minutes to snap this shot, because they were burning through fuel at such an incredible rate to try and match the Concorde’s speed! Concorde’s maximum speed was Mach 2.04, which is more than twice the speed of sound! These incredible airliners were in the skies from 1976 until 2003. The Concorde’s fastest transatlantic crossing was achieved in 1996. It travelled from from New York to London in only 2 hours, 52 minutes and 59 seconds. This trip takes around 7 hours on the planes we use today!

03.01.2022 Ever wondered what the Concorde looked like inside? This was the interior of the British Airways Concorde plane. It could only seat 128 passengers, in a 2-2 layout, but could get you from New York to Paris in just under 3.5 hours at supersonic speeds! Wikimedia/Daniel Schwen

02.01.2022 All I want for christmas is to be the pilot on SLGHRDR1!
