24.01.2022 Still coming up with a route to challenge us for the next Flight for Cancer Fight event, more to follow on this.

24.01.2022 Arrived in Kununurra without incident, long drive for all but we are set up at Kimberley Troop, Kimberley Sqn NORFORCE depot Kununurra. The drive from Katherine to Kununurra is very picturesque. Tomorrow we will drive to Halls Creek, set up, fundraise and watch the State of Origin and hopefully do some flying Thursday towards Broome, fingers crossed.

23.01.2022 Vanessa from Cruisin 4 a Cure will be in the Nowra area December.

23.01.2022 The trip has been long and sometimes hard for all, the main focus was the microlights flying from Nowra, Townsville to Broome, East coast to West coast safely and as for the road party as well. This has been achieved with the following issues - Footy's microlight sustaining damage at Soudan station, 1 flat tyre, lossing a frame with a tyre on it, great support from the from the public thus far. Some of the team member will travel to Yowah, west of Cunnamulla in QLD to support and fundraise for this event.

22.01.2022 I would like to thank the OC and Joney's of D Coy 51 FNQR in Mt Isa for there hospitality whilst in the Mt Isa, the team had a great time.

21.01.2022 Set up the microlights at Halls Creek and had to wait till 2pm to fly out towards Fitzroy Crossing. Sent Anne, Kaelene, Michael, Robyn and Blue and Gwen to the Crossings to meet us if we arrived before last light. We only got to a airfield half way from Halls Creek to Fitzroy Crossing and stayed over night with Syd, Lee, Sam and Christine. We depart this morning for Fitzroy Crossing just as the sun was coming up, landed at Fitzroy Crossing just on a hours flying and meet the rest of the team, so close to Broome. We will stay the night at the Crossing and head of towards Broome tomorrow, land about half way for a Sunday fly into Broome.

17.01.2022 To the familys at Ngumpan Cliffs last night thank you for your donations to the cancer council (research), from the team it is appreciated.

16.01.2022 All team members are either on the way home or are home after flying out of Broome. To ALL team members from the cook Robyn to Syd the Townsville team ground crew thank you for getting us pilots and microlights to Broome safely, a outstanding job.

14.01.2022 Team arrived in Katherine today, Peter and myself had a great flight into RAAF Tindal. The flight was done between 150 and 200 feet along the highway, a smoke haze was around 600 to 800 feet AGL. The trip from Mt Isa to Katherine has been interesting with the wind being high on landings and great at around 2000 - 3000 feet. The air become warmer at height. Will down load photos shortly, we will depart Katherine on Tuesday morning not Monday to give every one a good brake before the last phase to Broome.

12.01.2022 A team member from 2012 is battling cancer, our thoughts are with him. More needs to be done in the fight against cancer. I know he will have a strong support team behind him and he is a battler.

11.01.2022 We are now at ARN Sqn NORFORCE depot, RAAF Tindal. We are preparing for the final phase to Broome. Robyn is cooking, Gwen and Sam are working on the website, washing is being done, Footy's microlight is back in business after the wind lifted it and landed on the engine at Soudan station after we had tired it down. Had some of the team members familys over for a BBQ last night, good night. We will now depart Katherine on Tuesday and not Monday for Broome, this is so the Team members get more time to prepare as we have been starting early in the morning and doing some big distances during the day.

11.01.2022 I would like to thank Ryan the station manager of Soudan station for allowing us the set up camp at the airfield (again, done in 2010) between Avon Downs and Barkley Homestaed. Thank you Ryan from the FFCF 2012 team.

10.01.2022 A great flight into Curtin this morning, 3 microlights along the highway at about 1000ft would have been a great sight. Kev the airport manager of Curtin has been of great help and assistance, team ready for tomorrows flight into Broome.

09.01.2022 It is a year today that we arrived in Broome, 3 microlights flying from Nowra / Townsville across this great country. I know some of the team members were out of their comfort zone during the trip however did work hard to get the microlights to Broome. To Footy and Peter well done, we had some awesome legs especially from Soudan Station (NT) to the 3 Ways and to Elliott. The winds during some of the legs was a challenge for all of us and to Footy holding it back when his microlight ended up on the props and we had to pack it away till Katherine. To Pedimonts removals, Guy Designs, Dick Smith, South Nowra Rotary, Great Southern Motorcycles, our supporters, family and friends I would like to thank you all.

07.01.2022 Just need to get over this festive season. Hope all have a merry xmas and a great 2013 from the FFCF Team. To all sponsors and supporters thank you for your support this year.

07.01.2022 This is the FFCF team on our way from Nowra to Broome raising funds for cancer research. We would like this facebook message to go out to all our family, friends and others, hoping to get donations of $5 or more to help raise the funds needed for cancer research making this trip successful. Please forward this message to all your facebook friends. Thank you from the team. To donate click this link: http://nsw.cancercouncilfundraising.org.au/personalPage.asp

05.01.2022 All I will say is 2018, Around Australia.

04.01.2022 This afternoon the team will have a BBQ at Cable Beach and Balloon release. A fly over may not happen due to the winds being high. The team start to depart tomorrow for home ports after a long and hard trip. To all team members thank you from me for your support, hard work and getting up early each morning to see us off at first light.

03.01.2022 This is a bit late, Peter passed away a couple of weeks ago, before I start another Flight for Cancer Fight funraiser a lot of work will be done so we do raise a heap of money, have the right team and get more Aero clubs involved around Australia as the Flight for Cancer Fight will go around Australia. It will be for Glenn, Peter, two very awesome guys.

01.01.2022 I would like to thank Sean Golar the General Manager at Mt Isa airport and Shay for there assistance whilst at Mt Isa, so helpful to accommodate us.

01.01.2022 Hi all, this one is from Broome, yes we departed RAAF Curtin this morning around 7.30 and climb to 2000ft and tracked towards Broome. I had Sam with me, Peter had Christine and Footy was by himself due to the smaller engine. Flight was good with a tail wind and only taking 2 hours from Curtin to Broome. At about 20nm out Peter called the tower at Broome, all was good with the approach and landings of all 3 microlights, however I had a Dach 8 right behind me with a female pilot, awesome site with us on the taxi way and a big jet right next to it, would have been a great picture. All team members are in the NORFORCE depot.
