04.01.2022 One of the best things about being part of FNA is the professional networking. Past President and FNA member Mark was recently in Cairns and got to pop in for a quick visit to catch up with another FNA member Mel.

04.01.2022 Another lovely feature on a Flight Nurse and Pilot from Careflight in Darwin. Every Flight nurse flight has an amazing pilot getting them there and back, often at odd hours and not always in good weather - so it seems a fitting match to feature them as a team!

04.01.2022 The 2020 Flight Nurses Australia AGM was held this morning and we thank those who made the time to attend. It was a special meeting in that we were very pleased to announce the presentation of Lifelong Membership to one of our longest serving committee members Marg Tabone. Please find the following transcript from that award. Margaret has been a member of Flight Nurses Australia since 1999. She has been and continues to be a tireless promoter of Flight Nurses through her ac...tive membership for over 20 years, with her participation as a committee member from 2005 2019. Margaret has provided wise counsel to the FNA committee and members, not only with commitment and passion for the promotion of flight nursing through the organisation but also with her demonstrated nursing leadership at AANSW. She has worked on conference committees, proved guidance and support to flight nurses nationally and been a mentor, friend and support to so many. Huge congratulations Marg!

01.01.2022 A conference that might be of interest to some of our members!

01.01.2022 Today marks the first anniversary of the Whakaari/White Island explosive eruption. 47 people were on the island at the time, 24 Australians. On Monday night the ABC did a special report, with interviews with the NZ HEMS crews, Ambulance service and various non medical workers who played an integral part in the retrieval of these severely burnt patients. (Catch it on iview if you missed this interesting report!). Some of our FNA members were later involved in the aeromedical repatriation of some of those Australian victims back home. Our thoughts today with all those involved, working above and beyond, caring for those affected.
