14.01.2022 Please drive carefully on West End road if your heading up to Mt Tanner, the gravel road speed limit may be 80 km/hr but driving to the conditions is advised if you would like to keep all four wheels on the road, our hire cars intact and your good health. These two incidents have occurred in the last 5 wks, and luckily both motorists were unharmed, both admitted to speed being the reason behind their accident.

14.01.2022 Drawing Workshops at Mountain Seas Saturday 27th, Thursday 2nd, Saturday 4th and Monday 6th 1pm to 4pm Mountain Seas Arts Centre 811 Trousers Point Road Trouser...s Point Contact (03) 63574553 Linda Robertson, artist in residence at Mountain Seas is offering drawing workshops in charcoal,pencil and pastel over the next three weeks These sessions are suitable for all abilities, whether youre a beginner or more experienced. Linda works with the principle that drawing is based on the ability to see using our right brain. This is a skill which can be learned and is not dependent on talent, but the ability to switch off the thinking side of our brain. Students do simple exercises to facilitate this process, working with black and white tonal studies in charcoal or pencil. The classes will be held in the Mountain Seas art centre, working with simple subjects such as still life, natural objects, and possibly the human figure, depending on availability of a model! Linda Robertson is a Melbourne artist who has worked with in pastel and charcoal for many years, and teaches general and life drawing to adults and senior school students. She is also a monotype printmaker, and holds regular workshops at her Melbourne studio. Lindas work is held in the collections of the Bass Coast Shire, the City of Bright, and Strathcona Girls School, Methodist ladies College, and has been widely exhibited across eastern Australia, and in London.
