21.01.2022 We're experiencing a lot of changes of late as we all work to stop the spread of COVID-19. This week, changes were made to the parks and recreation areas of our... City in response to the Commonwealth Government's social distancing guidelines. As of Monday, the following are closed: Playgrounds Outdoor gym/Exercise equipment Skate parks E-scooters and bike hire Still open: Basketball/Tennis courts/ BMX tracks Reserves and open spaces Dog parks We are currently rolling out signage to remind our community of the closures and we thank everyone for their understanding. www.charlessturt.sa.gov.au/COVID-19

20.01.2022 Look at the lovely neat, tidy, EMPTY Grant Reserve Flinders Park Playground.... not a child to be seen... This park is usually swarming with happy children play...ing, scooting, riding and digging... where are they?? They disappeared with the communities Playground Toys on Tuesday last week... There have been a few visitors, many confused and asking about the toys, disappointed by the action of Council... some, particularly those who donated quality items, angry that this could happen with NO CONSULTATION with the rate paying residents who use this space!! What is being done to resolve this issue?? Will council respond to these concerns or hope residents will just give up and it will all go away.... Do we want an EMPTY neat and tidy lifeless park or do we want the vibrant magical play space we have had for the last few years?? See more

01.01.2022 What a day we have had in SA today!! Although the circumstances have changed the risk is still present. Health SA and their contact tracing teams still have much work ahead to ensure this outbreak is contained. With the best information available to us at this stage the following still stands: THERE WILL BE NO MATCHES FOR JUNIORS OR SENIORS TOMORROW, SATURDAY 21st NOVEMBER 2020. (Looking at the forecast, 37C, it was unlikely to go ahead anyway!!)... ALL COACHING & TRAINING WILL REMAIN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER ADVICE FROM TENNIS SA. We expect that there may be changes to the governmet direction due to come into effect on Sunday however, how that will affect us will remain to be seen. We are hopeful of being able to return to 'normal' from Monday... fingers crossed. We will keep you updated with information as it comes to hand.
