22.01.2022 Yippee!! The pools are open for leisure swimming as of tomorrow. Quorn hours: Tuesday 8am-10am, 2:30pm-6:30 Wednesday 6:30am-9:00am, 2:30-6:30pm... Thursday 6:30-9:00am, 2:30-6:30pm Friday 6:30-9:00am, 2:30-7:00pm From Saturday and onwards will return to previous advertised opening hours providing no COVID changes are required. Hawker hours we be as originally advertised Monday to Thursday 3:30pm - 6:30pm Friday 3:30pm - 7:00pm Saturday & Sunday 2:30pm - 7:00pm Please remember that 1.5m social distancing rules still apply, which means no jumping on each other, no spitting water etc and please follow the rules set by your lifeguards who are there to look after everyone’s wellbeing. Also contract tracing will be required. A QR code will be on the gate as you enter to scan on your phone as you enter the facility. Thank you for your assistance. (If you do not have a smart phone a manual sheet will be available to complete)

18.01.2022 Happy Monday Everyone! Council has just been advised that Active Tree Services will be in Hawker today as part of the tree trimming program for power lines. This program is completed through SA Power networks and as such any issues should be reported to SA Power Networks. Thank You

13.01.2022 The Quorn Men's Shed recently assisted Council with the sourcing and placing of this stone and plaque for the Still Born Babies Memorial at the Quorn Cemetery. Two benches will be installed soon to complete the project. A great effort by all involved.

12.01.2022 Notification of Signage Change - First and Sixth Street Intersection Please be advised that in the coming weeks a sign change and line marking upgrade will occur at the intersection of First and Sixth Street. The give way signs will change to stop signs to help increase the safety at this intersection. Further notification will occur closer to the change date and once the change has occurred.

10.01.2022 Hawker Dog Park, Unfortunately due to Covid 19 restrictions and now the heat, the works at the dog park have been delayed. Staff will endeavor to complete to works in the coming weeks before Christmas but would like to thank you in advance for your patience.

06.01.2022 COMMUNITY OVAL The Quorn Cricket Club has gained a grant to construct new cricket nets on the site. The retractable nets are to be place to the left of the entry gate to allow hitting onto the oval. To place the nets the Athel pines trees at the entry will be removed. The start date has been moved forward and the trees are scheduled for removal tomorrow. Upon completion planting of trees from the Council tree policy will occur. We look forwarded to seeing the great new asset at the oval.

05.01.2022 We were privileged to host the Graham Rodger Tag-a-long tour in Quorn over the weekend. Over 60 caravans and campers enjoyed what the town and region had to offer as well as Graham and others providing a fantastic concert on Saturday night. Thanks to all the tag-a-longs for choosing and supporting our community and hope you all enjoy the rest of your travels.
