03.01.2022 Here is a proposed design for the front of Quorn Kindy. This is an interactive, drought tolerant, low to no maintenance and low to no water use garden. Much of the design incorporates Australian Arid Native plants with a few climate appropriate exotics. The idea is to have Children and Adults explore the garden and be drawn to experience nature in a whole new way. This would be achieved by enticing one or more of our 5 senses. Touch, feel, smell, taste and sight. To do that, ...this garden contains bush tucker for everybody to try, foliage to crush and smell, different textures to feel, different types of nature to observe, the variety of flowers to look at and the sounds of seed pods popping in the summer or the sound of breeze blowing through different plants. We have also incorporated culture, landscapes and nature in the design layout. After meeting with the staff at the Kindy and getting some ideas, this is the outcome. That was the short explanation.
