24.01.2022 We love Nicole and the team at The Olive Branch Balhannah from very early on Nicole defiantly jumped on board to help us support the community. Whether it be cooking up soups, muslie slice or yummy cake, collecting donations, and being a model with me in the paper. Well, folks, she's at it again this time being a drop-off point to collect nonperishable food items to use in our free Christmas Hampers for local families doing it tough. While your there dropping off your goodies, buy a cuppa it's the best coffee in town.

01.01.2022 Hi everyone, Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? As you may be aware the Fire Rating for tomorrow is EXTREME. Our Bushfire Action Plan for Flint Community Care is to leave. So, unfortunately, NO FREE FOOD BOXES this week.... I have copied some information directly from the CFS website. Please read the website for yourself to gain all the relevant information to make your decisions about whether to stay or leave early (tonight or early AM). One thing that continues to stick out to me after being to a few Fire Preparedness Workshops run by the CFS is that: "The Fire Danger Rating is an indicator of how dangerous a bushfire could be if it did occur. It is not a predictor of how likely a bushfire is to occur. It should be used as an early indicator to trigger your plans. You need to understand the Fire Danger Rating to help you assess your level of bushfire risk and to decide what actions to take." Just a reminder that as per the map below taken from the CFS website today we are in Fire Ban District 2. Please stay safe x x x See more
