23.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the nature of roll out of restrictions for Fringe World Festival, the Fringeworld Mermaids will not be operating over this weekend. We hope... to have clarification of whether we can proceed on Monday. There are a bunch of great kids shows on over this weekend over the program. Please support our festival over this time by buying a ticket or donating to the Fringe Fund. Thanks everyone and hoping to be back with you all soon!

21.01.2022 The Leaping Lillies is an all-girl circus adventure for whippersnappers and whipcrackers! Playing at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia as part of State of Play for Fringe World 2021, our three heroines have hearts of gold, nerves of steel and a penchant for popcorn and mischief! Bring your imagination and hold onto your seats. Get your tickets here: https://fringeworld.com.au/whats/the-leaping-lillies-fw2021

21.01.2022 No plans this weekend? Come and see some of our fantastic crew and a circus community blow the stage of this terrific event. #dreamshaker #aerial #perthnow #perthweekend

10.01.2022 10 years! 10 years! Where did it go? Hundreds of Mermaid shows for thousands of Western Australians and visitors to our wonderful state. Countless cabarets, childrens shows and very special events including Australia’s first under water cabaret. How fortunate we are. Fringe has been our frying pan of new and dangerous ideas, full of memory, mayhem and malarkey. To at least another 10 years and beyond. ... Our biggest love to all our artists, team and historic company members for being with us on this ride. #fringeworld #fringeworld10years #happyanniversary #fliptease #perth #perthlife #perthaustralia #perthisbest #perthisok #weloveperth #experienceperth #perthwesternaustralia #perthgram #perthart #helloperth #igperth #fringeworld

06.01.2022 The updated Perth regulations are excellent news that we can all feel some relief over as a state, but while we are happy to see the necessary decisions made, in light of them we have unfortunately had to cancel our scheduled Fringe World season of Voila Variety. Sadly, the impact of the new regulations on attendance rules mean the show would be financially unviable to produce. While this is a difficult decision to make as performers and producers, it’s a decision made with s...ustainability in mind. We’re arts industry professionals - and so for us, performing and creating is not just our passion, it’s our professional income. We make this choice so we can continue to perform and create. And we know you want to see shows when they’re ready for you too. There are a few ways you can support us and our fellow creatives towards making sure this can happen. If the last few days at home haven’t affected you financially, and it’s within your capacity to do so, please consider donating to Fringefund.org or contact the creatives and ask how you can support shows directly. And for those shows that are still going ahead at restricted capacity, attend them and applaud voraciously. Respect and support to the Fringe World Festival team who are working tirelessly to re-open the festival in a new way. We look forward to seeing our festival family up on stages again this weekend. For us, we look forward to making magic for you in the near future. Keep watching. . . Johannes Reinhart

02.01.2022 Given the current Perth restrictions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel The Splash Zone for the remainder of the scheduled Fringe World season. Though it’s a difficult decision, it’s the right one under the current circumstances. The nature of our interactive mermaid show means we cannot perform it safely for families at this time - and safety is and should be first priority. We’re sad to go but it’s just for now, we’ll see you back in the water as soon as we can...! In the meantime, there are some great kids shows still running this Fringe World season, please go along and support some wonderful local family theatre while you can. We’ll share some in our stories so keep an eye out for those, and check for updates on the Fringe World Festival website. Kudos and support to the Fringe World team for getting the festival up and running again under such difficult circumstances, and with spirited resilience - thanks for looking after us all! . From us, splash you later The Fringe World Mermaids xx . . . Johannes Reinhart
