20.01.2022 While you will feel the benefits immediately after your first float, we do, however, find that it can take 2-3 sessions to feel the full benefits of floating. We therefore recommend booking at least 3 sessions spread out over several weeks. For long term benefits, monthly float sessions are ideal. We offer a great monthly membership package as well as bundles, precisely so that you can afford to float regularly. You can view our prices and packages on our website: https://www.floatlab.com.au/pricing/
18.01.2022 Floating comes with a wide range of benefits, including a reduction in stress, chronic pain, and depression, as well as increasing wellness. Evidence also proves it boosts creativity and productivity. In a well-calibrated float room, sensory stimulation of sound, smell, light and touch sensations disappear, so you can escape the pressures of life in your own private space. The meditative effect of floating helps to decrease stress levels, reduce muscle tension and clear your mind. 16.01.2022 To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. 16.01.2022 One of the many benefits of floatation therapy includes endorphin production. Flooding the body with endorphins, these neurotransmitters are responsible for relieving pain, enhancing mood and decreasing anxiety. To find out more about the wonderful benefits of floating, read about floatation therapy on our website or book a session with us online! https://www.floatlab.com.au
15.01.2022 Before you float, why not book in a massage first? Floating after a massage therapy session has the benefit of drawing out toxins that are released during the massage. Regular massage is also a great tool for pain management. During a massage, our therapists can focus on specific problem areas, as well as stiff muscles, gradually loosening them with increasing blood circulation. This can in turn help to alleviate pain related to injuries, arthritis and a range of other conditions. Health fund rebates may be available on remedial massages.

08.01.2022 Kabat-Zinn has defined mindfulness meditation as the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. By focusing on the breath, the idea is to cultivate attention on the body and mind as it is moment to moment, and so help with pain, both physical and emotional. Focus on the present to take care of your future. Floatation therapy is the ideal place to take note of your present without any distraction. Concentrate on your... breath and let it all go.. Appointments available today at all 3 locations.

07.01.2022 4 ways to calm the mind while floating Floatation therapy has been scientifically proven to lower levels of cortisol, lower blood pressure, have positive effects on well-being and performance and to be a useful stress management tool. Some people find calming the mind is quick and easy once in the tank but some might need a little more time to decompress and quiet your thoughts. Here are 4 ways to help you transition into a state of bliss... 1. Focus on your breath Breathes provides benefits that include oxygenating the blood, resetting the nervous system and calming the mind. When in the tank simply shift your attention on the breath, without forcing or changing pace. Take note of where you feel the breath the most - lungs, nostril, throat? When you mind wanders, redirect it to your breath. 2. Breath through tension Notice where you feel pain or need release. Focus your attention on this area, take 3 deep breaths and on each exhale let go of the tension be patient and mind to yourself and repeat this process u til your feel the tension release. 3. Do a body scan Bodyscans are intended to keep your attention with your body, and away from you full mind. Start with the feet and work your way up to the top of your head. Take your time focusing on every part of your body, repeat. 4. Ditch the tech! Give yourself at least 30min without any tech before heading into your float session. This is a great way to get the mind ready for a sensory-free environment Limited appointments available this weekend. To book your session call the clinic near you or book online. #calmthemind

01.01.2022 To achieve the full benefits of floatation therapy, there are a few requirements to take into consideration before you float. One of them is eating and drinking. At Float Lab, we recommend avoiding eating for 1.5 to 2 hours prior. When it comes to drinking, a hydrated body is a healthy body. For optimal benefits, stay hydrated before your float, but be mindful of excessive fluid consumption just prior to your float so you don't have to disrupt your session for bathroom breaks.
