24.01.2022 A sneak peak at our recent build, a large pond we installed at Brunswick Heads. This has been our most inspiring job, with 3 waterfalls, stream under a bridge into another pond. The clients inspired plant selection is one of our favorite plant combination yet with many tree ferns, silver lady ferns, many of their own orchids and different types of water irises. Can't wait to see it in flower!

23.01.2022 We've had a big 2 days of rocking on this 16x6m swimpond. Its coming together only 4 days in. Tomorrow we'll finish rocking the high side with the waterfall and start on the wetland.

22.01.2022 Thanks to the members of the NSW Building Designers Association Australia b_d_a_a_ for spending time at Flo Gardens today. Thanks to Richard Lutze and my team at Flo Gardens for putting on a great afternoon with a presentation at Flo Gardens showroom followed by a site visit to a swim pond we installed a little over a year ago at Burringbar. Isn't it looking amazing!

21.01.2022 We escaped the big storms over the weekend. With only a couple of days to go, the guys have done extremely well on this project out at Lismore. We had some beautiful rock to play with. Can't wait to see it finished!

20.01.2022 Its amazing where plants grow. There are plants that have adapted to grow almost anywhere and even have pretty flowers.

19.01.2022 All water features attract life as without water life doesn't exist.

18.01.2022 Images of our recent creation at Mullumbimby. This dam conversion went well......this 16x6m swim pond is simply breathtaking. Who wouldn't want one?

18.01.2022 The final day, Day 9 of our latest build at Mullumbimby. We spent today washing the pool, finishing the plumbing, drainage, lights and the surrounding landscaping. Can't wait to see the pool full tomorrow arvo.

16.01.2022 Welcome to the Banksia mistletoe- Muellerina celastroides. As you can see in these images the parasitic plant grows densely on the trunk and branches of these Banksia integrifolia. The stems are a darker colour, grow very dense and the leaves are lime green and are distinctly different from the host tree. "Mistletoes are semi-parasitic. They have chlorophyll in their leaves and can therefore manufacture their own food. The only reason they need a host is to provide it with wa...ter and support - they use the host as a root system" (ABC Gardening Australia) Keep an eye out next time you see Banksias particularly Banksia integrifolia.

15.01.2022 All loaded and ready to install our next pool around the corner at Mullumbimby. There's a lot of gear required for this 16 x 6m natural pool. That's only one trailer!

15.01.2022 A little look at our current build in Brunswick Heads. It was definitely our most satisfying job yet. It came up better than we ever imagined. Its amazing what you can fit in small spaces.....who wouldn't want one?

14.01.2022 A look at the medium plunge pool we started today in Mullumbimby.

12.01.2022 Happy Father's day to all the Father's out there. Thanks to my 3 girls for making this an awesome day.

11.01.2022 A look at a medium plunge pool we completed earlier this year in Bangalow. Who wouldn't want one?

11.01.2022 Come into Flo Gardens this spring and check out all our new displays and amazing selection of carnivorous plants, wetland plants, local natives, medicinal herbs, Fish and freshwater creatures.

10.01.2022 We had a great day today finishing this medium plunge pool. We completed it in a day and a half with the help of our amazing client Gloria. This kit was purchased last Christmas with the hope to get it in for the summer. However with a few misfortunes occurring to Gloria this year, she finally gets her plunge pool to help with the Mullum heat. With some edge planting to go we'll come back and visit in a couple of weeks and add some fish

10.01.2022 With the gully above rocked and revegetated, we are now completing the second part of this Burringbar job. We are installing this large ecosystem pond kit which will satisfy these adventurous client's imagination for the time being. A beautiful face lift with many multifunctional aspects to this job. A leaking dam now being replaced by what will be a spectacular large waterfeature amongst the rainforest with 3 cabins overlooking it.

10.01.2022 What an amazing afternoon up in the hot rain forest having a dip at our latest completed large ecosystem pond. This pond has changed the lives of these clients up at Huonbrook, being half an hour windy drive down to byron. They can swim in this 6x4x1.8m deep pond whenever they start to sweat. We add our own filtration to these large kits, retrofitting the half slimline water tanks creating a great mini wetland. This is the second large pond kit we have added our new wetland and they work a treat! Who wouldn't want one?

09.01.2022 Nothing like another very happy customer. After 10 days we transformed what was once an overgrown dam into this Oasis. With our very own Aqua man enjoying a well earned swim........we completed the final lighting check, handing over this peice of paradise back to these amazing clients. Thanks very much for your hospitality, charm and beauty. Our aim was to combine your vision with your personalities when creating your dream swim pond. I hope we succeeded.... A big thanks to our awesome team at Flo Gardens and amazing operators at LB Excavation helping us create yet another freshwater ecosystem. Can't wait to start the final one of the year next week!

08.01.2022 Small spaces can look amazing as well...... Bigger isn't always better. This small ecosystem pond kit is perfect for kids to splash in and expore!

08.01.2022 This is why we all at Flo Gardens do what we do and do what we love......to rebuild the world's fresh water ecosystems......one backyard at a time. We love to see the animals and plants returning. This little fellow has made a happy home out the back here at Flo Gardens. 'Where there is water there is life'

07.01.2022 We put in some fish and went for a little paddle at our recent build in Brunswick Heads. This ecosystem pond has turned out amazing day and night. Thanks to the awesome clients and my team at Flo Gardens. Who wouldn't want one?

06.01.2022 Check out this bush rock! With an abundance of rock rolling down the mountain, we used a few to build this large plunge pool up in the rain forest at Huonbrook. With the site once an overgrown veggie patch, it now is a 1.8m deep plunge pool. We are extremely happy to be up here to build this pool as the owners have been through a lot as only a year ago they were putting out fires. ... There are extremely old and large rainforest trees which burnt for the first time. See more

06.01.2022 What an amazing team with @kaisanderson completing his first build alone with our outstanding team on the machines run by Luke Behan Earthworks. This large ecosystem pond is the icing on the cake for this property in beautiful Burringbar. Just waiting for it to fill up and plant it out. The 100m long gully we rocked and planted came up well. Can't wait for some big rain to see if it all works!

04.01.2022 Our recent recreational ecosystem pool out at Lismore looks amazing. With the finishing touches to the lights the most rewarding aspect to this 11m x 4.5m lap pool, highlighting the beautiful bush rock collected on this farm. This the first creation of our busy summer of ecosystems pools, can't wait to start the next one on Monday!

04.01.2022 We had a whale of a morning at our beach today. Check out the excited whale. There were many whales with their calves frolicking in Byron Bay.

01.01.2022 As the water warms up this is a trigger for some fish to spawn. These mullet fingerling are ready to school in swimponds, controlling algae.
