24.01.2022 On 9th March 2021, the Australian government announced an extra $1.2 bn to extend the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements Program by an additional 70,000 places. The apprentice wage subsidy scheme, which subsidises 50% of an apprentice’s first year wage, has been extended to 30th September 2021. There is no cap to the schemes but apprentices must be signed up before the end of September this year to be eligible. 23.01.2022 Heard about our FCIA Apprentice Workshops and not sure what they are? They're a week long training program for our apprentices where we refurbish the flooring of a local community building or charity house. With products generously donated by our manufacturing members, along with the time of industry technical experts & trainers, these workshops are a vital part of the FCIA apprenticeship program. If you’re considering becoming a qualified Floor Coverings Installer, consider an apprenticeship organised by FCIA and work with some of the best in the business. An apprenticeship is a program that offers you the opportunity to learn and earn at the same time! You are paid while learning the skills needed for the trade while being supervised by an ...experienced tradesperson(s). You get hands-on, practical training, with a Registered Training Organisation such as the FCIA Training Academy (RTO) and an employer in the industry.
