24.01.2022 Wow! what a busy month its been. Seems so many people are doing home improvements at the moment, including their Garage Floors....and they are really liking our new Classic Color range which you can view on our Website www.floortec.com.au. Some of the more recent finishes have been, Bokarina Beach in "Preto" Bellflower Sippy Downs in "Storm", Birkdale in "Ash Grey", Buderim in "Steele", Eden Lea Buderim in "Oatmeal", Dickey Beach in "Storm", just to mention a few.

21.01.2022 Driveway Coatings are in demand! Seems Sunny Coast residents are keen to upgrade the look of their old, tired looking driveways with our Hard Wearing and Attractive Cementitious finish. This service includes, Grinding the old surface, Patching cracks and where necessary applying a smooth cementitious topping to the old driveway before applying the system. Making an appealing and clean look to the entry to every home, this finish comes in a range of colors to suit the outdoors and areas that need to be Anti-slip and Hardwearing, including Driveways and Pathways.

18.01.2022 Another view of our recently opened, new Storage facility showing the Polished Concrete Floor which came up a treat. This type of floor finish makes it easy for our Staff to keep the premises clean and dust free.

18.01.2022 Turning an old shabby driveway into an impressive entry to a home. This is what our clients at Buderim needed and were overjoyed with the end result. The Old driveway was a discolored and out of date, Stamped concrete. The process involved High Pressure Water Cleaning at 4000 PSI and rebuilding the shoulder of the Kerb with Sikadur 31, 2 pack Concrete Repair System. We then needed to apply Sikafloor Level 30 to create an even surface and finally apply a 3 coat system of Resene 2 Pack Uracryl in the chosen color of Midnight. All expansion joints were filled with Sikadur 31 and re-cut at 6mm and corked with Sikaflex Black. Sika Resene

16.01.2022 Do you need to up date the old concrete around your pool? We recently completed a job at Currimundi which came up treat. For SAFETY reasons a Slip Resistant surface is best around a pool area OR on outdoor Patios and Walkways. It can also be used on Garage floors where the old oil stained and slippery surface can be brought back to life and turned into a safe and healthy, dust free environment. Here at Floortec, we have all the technical equipment to test for slip levels w...hen applying surface coatings in such areas. The process used in the picture attached of a pool surround, was to Diamond Grind the concrete surface to remove all contaminants and prepare it for the new coating. We then primed the substrate and applied a Base Coat of Sika 264 and whilst this was wet, we broadcast the Pewter Colored Stone Grip into the Epoxy. 15.01.2022 Here at Floortec Seamless Coatings, our team often comment on the satisfaction they get every week when they complete jobs for our Clients whereby we turn dirty and stained Garage Floors into Clean and easily maintained surfaces, providing additional living space for families which can be used for a rumpus area and even additional sleeping for visitors. The pictures here are a great example.

13.01.2022 They say the finished job is only as good as the preparation that goes into it. Here at Floortec our job is to provide a professionally applied, attractive and decorative coating to Concrete floors. We therefore need to understand the condition of the underlying concrete before we apply our coatings, using this Special Equipment pictured below. To do this we test every concrete surface for "Hardness' and "Moisture" before commencing the preparation process. The Hardness of the concrete surface will dictate what particular equipment we will need to grind and prepare. The Moisture content of the concrete will determine if we need to apply a special sealer over the surface before starting the application our coatings. Our EXPERIENCED and TRUSTED Applicators will ensure a great outcome for our Clients.

09.01.2022 When is a "Man Shed" not just a man shed? Well the answer is, after the Concrete Floor has been treated and refurbished with a Floortec Seamless Epoxy coating! Seems Covid-19 might have a lot of men spending more time in their "Man Sheds", so to freshen up the appearance and make for a more pleasant environment, we seem to be receiving more and more enquires about the refurbishment of these types of premises. Here are a few we recently completed on the Sunshine Coast.

08.01.2022 Yet another great use for our hardwearing and hygienic Seamless Floor Coatings. Here we feature an Epoxy Floor Coating system at a Veterinary Animal Hospital in Maroochydore. The client chose a larger fleck finish in Grey toning. This job included coving up the walls to 100ml to ensure for the most hygienic and easy to clean solution for the client and of course their patients, those beautiful animals! 07.01.2022 Another great transformation of a driveway, this time at Woombye. Our clients chose a Neutral base color in "Jasper" to blend with the bushy, rural environment. The Product is a Spray on textured finish by Shieldcoat and comes in a number of colors. Pictures here show the finished job which blends nicely with the surrounding landscape, and then being vacuumed to remove all dust ready to start the coating process, rolling on the sealer after the coatings is sprayed on, to protect the surface and bring out the "real" color, and the driveway after it had been fully ground and cracks patched. Our Woombye clients are thrilled with the finish and outcome.

07.01.2022 The past 2 months have been an extremely busy time for the team at Floortec with just too many Garage Floor and other refurbishment jobs to share each week. However, one Commercial job worth sharing is at a Cafe in Mt Coolum where we refurbished the Kitchen area with an Anti Slip product finished in the Preto color. A great color choice for this busy trafficable area. The Before and After pics show the improvement, making for a much easier floor to maintain and clean

07.01.2022 A "happy" outcome after the Floor Coating at Happy Snack Foods. Our clients at Happy Snack needed to refurbish their Processing Room to provide not only a Clean and Seamless finish, but to brighten up the area. The process to complete this job took a number of days as the old concrete surface not only needed to be ground back but also to be "purged" to ensure that the substrate was completely clean of any old oils and contaminants so the new coatings could be guaranteed to adhere. A Densi -Crete product was used for this process. Adding the final coatings in the chosen color of "Skye Blue" ensured it was a happy and clean finish for our clients. 05.01.2022 The Sunshine Coast, Currimundi Recreational Centre Stage 2 recently completed. This project was of a different part of the Transit Area which Floortec completed in Stage 1. The finish used looks very smart in two tones of BLUESTONE, and is also Anti-Slip. The lighter finish is Light Bluestone which is contrasted by the Dark Bluestone. This finish is a Cementitious, Spray-On application requiring all adjoining areas to be covered and taped in order to avoid overspray. thank you to our clients at the Currimundi Recreational Centre who are very happy with the outcome.

05.01.2022 Just completed stage 1 of the Currimundi Recreation Centre, Transit Area. High foot traffic area where a Decorative Non Slip Coating system was required. Base colour of Light Bluestone was chosen with a Fleck Dark Bluestone to finish in the main area. The client requested that the Panels in concrete be finished in a darker tone as a contrast. Once again the client is very happy with the result and we look forward to completing Stage 2 next month. Pictures here show, Before, After and close up of the work.

04.01.2022 Floor preparation and general Site preparation are the most important parts of the process when Decorative Floor Coatings are about to be applied. At Floortec, we take the time to ensure that Concrete Surface is fully Diamond Ground with our special Grinders. These range from small to very large Grinders depending on the state of the surface being prepared. Then all cracks and any divots are filled to create a smooth surface. Any adjoining areas are sealed off and taped to ensure no dust, odors or adjoining areas are affected or damaged. Examples of this prep are attached.

04.01.2022 Checkout this amazing Eagle Emblem which we were contracted to refurbish at Morayfield State High School. This was a Special Order job as the existing finish is a very thick white glass over concrete which had become very dirty over time and difficult to clean. Floortec achieved the new finish by high pressure cleaning first, then applying a Water based Primer, then a Base coating followed by an application of White Paint Flake and 2 coats of White Uracryl coating with an Anti Slip additive. The finished job certainly looks great making the school very proud of it's entry area.

04.01.2022 Refurbished Man Shed for Classic Cars. Yes, our Client is a CLASSIC CAR enthusiast and needed to spruce up his Man Shed where he stores his beautiful cars. The finish is in GREY GRANITE a very neutral color which looks good in any situation and so easy to keep clean. Perfect for this location! We posted 2 pics, one to show the true color of the floor finish and the other in Black and White to highlight those beautiful Classic cars. Seems the use for our Floortec Seamless Coatings is never ending.

04.01.2022 As the new week begins, and we see Covid 19 restrictions start to lift, its a timely reminder for us to say "Thank You" to our ongoing Referring Clients for choosing Floortec to undertake work on their projects over the past few months, which has allowed us to continue trading whilst retaining our long serving and experienced staff. 02.01.2022 At Floortec, we are celebrating our move to bigger and purpose designed new premises at Kuluin. This new location allows us to stock higher volumes of products and equipment to better service our valuable clients. To coincide with this, Floortec today is launching it's Business Facebook page which will allow us to better communicate with both our Domestic and Commercial clients, as well as our trusted Product Suppliers all of who continue to provide us with much appreciated ongoing Referrals and work .

01.01.2022 We have just taken delivery of another H Class Vacuum. H Class Vacs are now required to be used on all Qld Government jobs, however, here at Floortec we are highly aware of the need for safety for both customers and our staff, and now use them whenever possible on all jobs. The benefit of H Class Vacs is that they reduce the amount of dust particles in the air by filtering around 99.95% of the dust produced during the Grinding of Concrete. This therefore makes for a much cleaner and safer workplace environment. The product we prefer is the Husqvarna model S26 which we purchased from Concrete & Flooring Solutions at Maroochydore. 01.01.2022 Great to see the Hospitality industry starting to re-open for business with Covid 19 restrictions being lifted. Here at Floortec, we have completed special Floor Coating jobs for a number of Restaurants, Motels and Hotels around the Sunshine Coast. We noticed one of our more recent Business clients, Heads of Noosa Brewing Co, re-opening their Tap Room where they offer mouthwatering food and of course Great Tasting Crafted Beers. We particularly like the Japanese Lager! Heads of Noosa Brewing Co. Floortec is proud to have been chosen to apply the Floor Coatings in the Taproom and the Warehouse during set up of Heads of Noosa. What a great bunch of people they are to work with. The coatings systems used were Purcem 21 and 31 in the Taproom and Sika 264 Anti Slip in the Warehouse.
