25.01.2022 Confession time: I haven't updated my website in years I have so many gorgeous images featuring my work (like this one by @whitneyheard which made it onto @stylemepretty btw!) And I'm not showing them off as I should be! 2019 is my year to get organised again, gain business clarity again and just get writing again. I have loved and will treasure these last 2 years as I've nurtured my children full time but for the sake of myself (and my family!) it is time to sit at my des...k and write once more. I'm so excited about my new website (launching in March thanks to the delightful @jessica_m_studio) and even more excited to sit down and write for you guys. What would you like me to write?

20.01.2022 #topnine2019 Well it has been very quiet here this year due to my decision to step away from work for a while to concentrate on my health. Thank you for all the supportive messages and comments over the last 7 months. I hope to share a lot more calligraphy next year! 17.01.2022 Today, being Mothers Day, seemed like an appropriate time to announce that I am closing Floralovely Calligraphy for now. I have wrestled with this decision for two years, it hasn't been an easy choice as I love my work. I guess I was trying to convince myself that I could do it all. Being Mum, a wife, a friend, daughter, sister, school volunteer and business owner... and trying to find time for #selfcare? I haven't felt like I've been doing very well in any area lately and my... health has suffered. So I'm simplifying and walking away from work for now. I have a few outstanding orders to complete but then my focus will be on my family and I. If you'd like to keep up with me, you can find me over @floralovelyhome. 16.01.2022 Well, what can I say about 2018. It was a tricky one for me. I struggled with myself a lot and couldn't figure out why. I'm usually a very positive, motivated, "roll with it" kind of person but I couldn't shake the lack of motivation, low energy, negativity and frustration within myself. After recently realising that I'm vitamin D & Iron deficient and also deciding to really focus on my head space for once, I can feel great changes ahead. I'm excited for 2019 and a clear ou...tlook. A new website, fresh calligraphy offerings and more flowers on my desk are my work goals for 2019 I have a lot to be thankful for, I know that. Just looking at my #topnine2018 photos makes me feel excited and ready for my creative flow to begin racing again. Thank you so much to those who've kindly commented and checked in on me when I've been so absent this past year. Cheers to a healthy and prosperous new year my friends xx

13.01.2022 A recent place card order for @xero. I love their accounting program (have used it for years) and their taste in calligraphers obviously! . I have missed Insta-land and I hope to be more visible in 2019. In the meantime, I have a few corporate Christmas calligraphy gigs coming up so will share a few pics soon xx

03.01.2022 I'm starting a new work/family/life plan this week. A few things I'm working on: 1. Learning to look after myself first 2. Training myself to go to bed earlier 3. Remembering I can't do everything all the time or I will burn out (again) Basically I'm learning about this little thing called #selfcare. ... Calligraphy is actually an excellent way to practice being quiet, focused and mindful, so I'm really lucky that's my job! Now, to procure and protect my precious calligraphy time How do you practice self care? Any advice? Xx
