12.01.2022 ABOUT LAST NIGHT | Well that was huge! What a great start to the morning after that masterclass by the lads. 2020 has been to say the least a misfit. ... After making the Night Series final, our season came to a halt after Round 1 (which we won against Perth). When the make-shift season resumed in July, we battled through with our hearts on our sleeves and played for the games sake. Not for glory. Not for money, not for anyone but other ourselves and our loyal fans and members. After 16 games we had the most wins and points. Unfortunately we couldn’t do it on the last game of the regular season and seal the league but this week we showed we were the best and why we were the best. The response has been ALL CLASS. Despite the chaos of 2020, the club has battled through ON and OFF the pitch and the results are there. Our 18s made the semi-finals (hats off to coach Frank Mariano and team) and the juniors and mini-roos have grown in numbers. Not to forget our senior ladies team, and junior all girls team. However none of this could be achieved without the support of our volunteers and sponsors. The program is run by Floreat Athena club captain Dean Evans and his business The Football Centre Perth.... The program is open to Kindy, Pre-primary and year 1 students and the cost is $70 for the 6 week program.
