25.01.2022 We’ve been working big old hours behind the scenes as.....drum roll... we will soon have our online shop open for stock images! Now before you scrunch your nose up and think you can just go to other stock websites, I must inform you that the FJC content creation is one of a kind being all things quirky, light hearted, humorous, colourful and down right cool! We had our marketing gurus, bloggers, hospitality peeps and beauty industry in mind when creating some of this incredibly fun material that you can use with a click of a button and are so excited to share everything soon!

14.01.2022 The first step towards getting somewhere, is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are - this quote is something I think about a lot. I’ve had so many moments where I’ve said to myself no, this isn’t going to be it for me, I’m not staying here, I need to keep moving forward and when those thoughts get stuck in my head, huge pivot points where we’ve made great change or growth tend to happen. It’s like something ticks over in my brains and my mental attitude changes to make shit happen. If there’s something you’re not happy with or you’re wanting something else in your life, you need to decide how bad you want it and take action. There’s no other secret tool apart from stop talking and start doing.

10.01.2022 Feeling so beyond grateful with the opportunities and brands we’ve been able to work with the past couple months. Like most people, when covid first hit, it hit hard. I was so scared of what was going to happen as we had just moved into our new space which was a huge financial adjustment as it is and then I had a pretty confusing and awful health experience I was dealing with as well. Not only did all projects completely stop, the first time in nearly 4 years of having Flore...nce James, my body literally could not work and I was forced to stop. I took 6 weeks off from work (which again, scared the fuck out of me cause bills just don’t stop) and I stopped creating whilst huzi took on the jobs we had to finish but that was about it. I had no idea if or when we would bounce back as so many other people were in limbo about what was happening to their life and businesses as well. I finally started to feel better and had a FUCK THIS moment. Fuck this, I am not WAITING around for this to get better. So I started making some serious changes and really invested time and energy in to getting this baby back up and running. A few things it taught me is that 1. I was way to comfortable with what I had and what I was doing 2. Always have a plan B. I had never let sickness stop me from working before but Ive realised I’m literally not invincible and shit happens 3. No one will find you. You need to put yourself out there to be found! 4. And lastly, sometimes maybe we need to burn out to realise what needs to change. Burning out at the time didn’t seem like a blessing but now, I realise I needed that experience so I can see the bigger picture of what I really want for FJC and our life. Making changes that help us grow, work more efficiently and set boundaries between work and personal life. So if you’re feeling like life just isn’t going to get better, hang in there and say FUCK THIS. Make the changes you need to make to grow. Good things come from shit experiences, You just have to find the lesson in it!
