19.01.2022 What an epic achievement for @leeannen101 winning the Australian ICN Bikini 40+ Title Im beyond proud of this lady not only for the outcome at the end of the competition - that I know was really important for her and myself as her trainer and coach - but mostly for the consistent work she put in days in and days out. People always see the outcome of a competition but dont actually realise all the work that has been done by the athlete (and the coach) to get there. I ...can tell you that what Lee-Anne did and keep doing on a daily basis over the last year (and more!) is far from being just a walk in the park. She attended her multiple weekly training sessions with me over at Goodlife Wintergarden (Brisbane) without a fail. She followed the nutritional plan I set for her and that I updated on a regular basis according to her progression. Progression that we monitored by measuring her body composition. She also attended posing sessions with a professional posing coach to improve her stage presence and fine tune it! In fact, my expertise in this domain has its limitations which means that beyond that the right thing to do is to refer to someone more skilled than myselike @davidyould As you can see, thats some epic hard work and a lot of dedication Lee-Anne is the proof that it is possible for anyone to achieve their goals if they are willing to put in the work and if they are surrounded by the right people.. 17.01.2022 Keep drinking team! (Talking about water here, obviously! ) Hydration is an important factor to take in consideration if you want to keep performing at your best. The body is composed of ~60% of water and slight dehydration can drastically decrease your performances, whether it be when exercising, working, doing your grocery shopping... or simply living your life!... Have you ever felt that a workout was way harder than it should have been? Or have you ever felt really tired mid-morning when you just had a great night of sleep before? Obviously, there are a lot of factors to take in consideration but sometimes you might just need to drink a little more. There is a lot going on about water consumption recommendation at the moment. Women and men have different needs that are for sure, with women needing less water than men in general. But since everybody is different, it is not possible to determinate a set volume of water needed for everyone. To keep it simple drink at least 2,5 litres of water and add another litre of water if you exercise for 60min or more. This is to compensate for the loss of fluids from sweating. PRO TIP To keep track of your water consumption: 1 Get a 1L bottle 2 Put 2 hair ties on the top of the bottle 4 Every time you need to fill up your bottle, you have drunk 1L of water: put down one hair tie 5 Once the second hair tie is down, you know that you have almost reached your daily water consumption recommended. 16.01.2022 Here is Jody killing a 8am HIIT session on a Saturday! Jody and I have been training for a while until she took a little break to give birth to a little angel of the name of Sebastian ... After giving birth Jody was a bit insecure about getting back into a gym environment so she tried to get back into training on her own. After a year she hit me up because she hadnt achieved what she was hoping for. I convinced her to get back into the gym. It only took a few weeks for her to get back into a routine and feel more empowered than ever which led her to tick so many boxes along the way I remember her saying to me Florian I dont know why I didnt come to you in a first place, I know youd make me feel confortable and happy to train again and help me to get the results, I wasted my time! . Well the truth is: we all try to make it easier for us and avoid uncomfortable situation. But the uncomfortable will soon make you confortable. Thats what make you stronger. I love helping people getting fit but I love even more helping people feel better about themselves in general. 10.01.2022 Stop making excuses and be honest with yourself! - Let's be honest here: if you have time to watch Game of Thrones (works also with Married at First Sight or The Bachelor!) then... you have time to work towards your fitness. - An episode lasts in average 50min.... That's pretty much a full strength training session (if you aren't playing on your phone between set) or a great cardio training session! Or the time needed to prepare your lunches and dinner for the next few days! - So... If one of your goal is to shape your body and you decide to seat in front of the TV instead of doing what needs to be done to shape your body, assume that watching TV is your priority and STOP making excuses. Stop saying you didn't have the time or that you got too busy... it just wasn't your priority. - When you realise all the things you do and don't do because of making excuses, that's when you start changing your mindset. You'll start reviewing your priorities and change your habits so you reach your health and fitness goals. See more

06.01.2022 Do you think you enjoyed a bit too much the chocolate over the Easter weekend? - Well if you are asking yourself this question, the answer is probably yes. - No panic, unless you are preparing for a bodybuilding competition, its totally fine! ... - Being strict with yourself (ie diet and training) only get you this far if you dont take care of yourself. This means that you also need to enjoy yourself at times and give yourself a bit of rest from all the hard work you are doing! - Now obviously this is only assuming that you are already training hard and follow your training plan to the T on a daily basis! - Getting fit doesnt have to be boring and its definitely not all or nothing (unless you prepare for comps). 06.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Jan Wanklyn for winning her age group this week-end at the Challenge Roth Triathlon in Roth, Germany. For those that know a bit about triathlon, this race is the same distance and difficulty than a IronMan race, just different name and organisation. 3.8 km swim... 180 km ride 42.2 km run Jan has overcome few injuries in 2017 and kept her training up days in and days out to get better for this particular race. Winning this race she demonstrates that consistency in her training as well as taking care of her body pays off in the long run. Listening to your body and doing what feels right for you is important. Training days in and days out is great but remember that you are not a machine and that this body of yours needs some kind of maintenance if you wish to keep moving great and stay injury free. I know some of you here have been treated by Jan over the last couple of years. 06.01.2022 Mixing things up with Jim and adding some calisthenics movements during this upper body session. I love teaching new skills to people and handstand is one of these movement. Often people think that handstand is a difficult movement but in reality it is quite easy for anyone with a minimum of shoulders strength. So make sure that you are well conditioned before trying! ... What is really hard though it is to be able to hold the position for long and without losing balance. You need to be consistant and keep trying until you are used to the position. It gets easier over time dont worry. Here Im only getting Jim into a straight handstand position and help him to stay straight. This way he can have a feel of what its like and try to reproduce it himself. Getting up and go for a run first thing in the morning is definitely a challenge for me but I love the feeling afterward and it is a really nice way to start the day. Exercising daily and pushing yourself physically and mentally is all you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay fit.

We all know that good grades dont come from doing nothing (unless you are super smart) but from long hours of studying, researching, writing and doing it all over again day in day out. Being a full time student myself, I understand the struggle of keeping it all in!... If you want to get it all done and stay stress free as much as possible, even during exams period, youll need a certain amount of dedication andenergy! And I have a tip for you! EXERCISE. Several studies shown that exercising improve sleep quality, raise your energy level, decrease your stress level and therefore help you to stay productive throughout the day. With the end of the semester and exams approaching fast, keeping your fitness on track and have a healthy diet will be a huge benefit for you if you are wanting to study more efficiently and get the best grades possible. You put so much into our training sessions 4 times a week and always follow the plan close to 100%.
