25.01.2022 Thinking outside of the box is a great part of being an artist! Sometimes the found items or materials determine the piece. I had an idea to make a body of work about the domestic world that we abide in, and we look at it but don’t really see it. The kitchen, the bathroom, little nooks and crannies that we have created in our own worlds. This is an artwork that I have made from up-cycled Lino. Please let me know what you think.

25.01.2022 Some of my Lino block prints made during the COVID 19 period. Created from the inspiration from around the home. These are a small edition of prints that have been hand coloured. Hoping to exhibit them soon

24.01.2022 The teens with their finished art pieces (and a work in progress). For all of the students it was their first experience working with paint on a canvas, working out a composition, mixing paint, colour matching and creating their own original masterpieces. Well done teens! YOU ROCK!

20.01.2022 Flourish Kids After School Art classes for Term 4 start next week. Junior primary on Wednesday and Senior Primary on Thursday. 09.01.2022 Last week the teen class worked away busily on their canvasses. This week will be the last of our 6 week painting course for teens. They have learnt different methods of painting, paint application, colour mixing, looked at different artistic styles and genres. Can’t wait to see their final masterpieces!

08.01.2022 I have been dabbling in encaustics during this recent duration. It has been so much fun I love the alchemy involved in this process! Here is a series I made for the ‘Emergence’ exhibition at The Surpentine Community Gallery Lismore opening this Friday 6pm. The work is about feeling into isolation and the importance of connection. Hope to see you at the opening!

06.01.2022 During last week's Flourish Kids Art class the students learned how to create beautiful artworks with oil pastels on black paper. We looked at African animals for our inspiration. We were lucky enough to have photographer Jodie PhotosbyJodie join the Wednesday class to take some picks of the class in action. 04.01.2022 Term 3 of Flourish Kids Art classes is on full swing! This term we will be learning the fundamentals of making art. Week one was spent exploring the colour wheel and how to mix paint. We made some wonderful and wacky colour wheels of our own. Week two the students created their own art collage folders to house their artwork. So looking forward to our classes in term 3 with these awesome creative little artists.

04.01.2022 Our end of Term 1 Kids (junior and Senior primary) After school Art Pop up Exhibition pre Easter holidays was fantastic. There was the kids art on display, a group activity, merit certificates, snacks, and of course Easter eggs! Looking forward to more arty fun during Term 2!!!

02.01.2022 The last few weeks Flourish Kids classes have been learning how to draw landscapes. We looked at perspective, horizon line and vanishing point. The students created wonderful art works with their new skills. Super work everyone!!!! During the next couple of weeks we will be working on still life painting on canvas.....stay tuned!
