22.01.2022 This week is 2021 Heart Week. This year's focus is on getting back into the routine of preventative health check ups. While some heart health issues may be genetic, there are also a lot of lifestyle factors which can help us keep our hearts healthy, including looking after our mental health.

20.01.2022 #wellbeingwednesday Don't forget to make time in your day for a #mentalhealthmoment. One way to relieve stress is to scan your body for a moment and soften any areas you may be holding tension. By mentally scanning yourself from head to toe, you are bringing awareness to every single part of your body, noticing any aches, pains, tension, or general discomfort. Staying present with and breathing into these sensations can help bring relief to our minds and bodies. Our Panorama Magazine has a great article about online mindfulness tools, check it out here: https://www.flourishaustralia.org.au/pan/mindfulness-online Illustration by Drawn by Mary

Our Buckingham House Program in Surry Hills offers an outreach service that provides small group and individual support to people like Mark, a very talented artist who has had many artworks featured in the Another Door Opens art exhibition. 05.01.2022 PANDA Action Week is here! Our friends at PANDA raise awareness about perinatal mental health to reduce stigma so those affected can seek help. 1 in 5 mums will experience perinatal anxiety and / or depression. We also know that a significant number of non birth parents experience similar rates of mental health issues. Left untreated, this can have long-lasting impacts on parents, partners, baby and the rest of the family. The key to getting help is being able to recognise th...at something is wrong and being brave enough to ask for help to ‘tell someone who cares’. That might be talking to your partner, child and family health nurse, doctor or PANDA’s National Helpline: 1300 726 306 Learn more about the signs and symptoms: https://bit.ly/3n3d5aK #PANDAWeek2020 #tellsomeonewhoca
