23.01.2022 We love educating our children on recycling, and the many different things you can do with items, such as old box’s and bottle lids. This week our Wattle children used old box’s as drums whilst playing outside, and our Bottlebrush children used our bottle lids donated by our patents for a shape and colour sorting activity

20.01.2022 What a great science experiment to finish National Science Week! The children in the Bottlebrush Room loved watching their volcano that they made during the week erupt

19.01.2022 What a fun and creative Jeans for Genes day we had today! Each of the rooms decorated their own pair of jeans, which are now displayed. The Gumnut children also decorated their own special pair of jeans that Miss Nancy sewed for them



19.01.2022 This week in the Bottlebrush Room, the children have been learning about SQUARES. Today they were able to use the smart board to either draw a square on their own or trace over dots to create a square

18.01.2022 Our Bottlebrush children now have their own Sign-in area. The children are able to practice writing their names of a morning, before starting their day!

18.01.2022 The weather was great for an outside rest time today for our Bottlebrush children. Studies have shown there are many benefits of children sleeping outside, one of which is breathing in fresh clean oxygen.

17.01.2022 Thank you to our Families who participated in our Picture Product fundraiser. We purchased a new seesaw for our outdoor yard.

17.01.2022 Today we enjoyed celebrating ‘Thanksgiving’ the children participated in many different crafts and even enjoyed a Sweet Potato Casserole as a treat for lunch

16.01.2022 Today the Wattle children learnt all about Theos new rainbow wheelchair. Miss Rebekah explained to the children that Theos muscles dont work like everyone elses and so he needed to use a special wheelchair to help him sit! We call it his Rainbow Wheelchair as it has rainbow straps. The children then learnt the sign for Wheelchair (Photo and video of childs face used with Parents permission)

16.01.2022 Flourish Early Learning Centre has its own unique QR Code. This code will be used for any external visitors to check in, so we are able to assist NSW Health with contact tracing should we ever need to.

15.01.2022 What fun the Wattle Children has today learning all about healthy eating. Miss Rebekah read The very hungry caterpillar and then they sang them fruit salad song. They all participated in their own individual making of fruit jelly cups, and spoke about the apple and strawberries that were going into the green jelly.

14.01.2022 Today we had a Fire Drill. Some of the bottlebrush children were packing their bags, so they carried them with them. Our Educators spoke to the children about what happens during a Fire Drill and how we need to walk out of the centre in a fast and calm way. All children had their names ticked off and if they could replied with, Here I am

10.01.2022 For the next three weeks, Flourish will be participating in Snacktember. An initiative started by a young school girl, Lennox Wade after hearing that many school children do not have enough snack foods for their lunch boxs Snacktember

10.01.2022 We were very lucky to be given some Rosemary for our garden from one of our parents, Jermy. This afternoon, after the Bottlebrush children discussed why this plant was special around ANZAC Day, had the chance to plant our new rosemary with Miss Yang.

03.01.2022 During rest time now in the Bottlebrush Room, Miss Naomi has been doing meditation with the children to help them rest. The children concentrate on each part of their body from their feet to their heads and tell their muscles that it is time to rest. Miss Naomi also reads out two affirmations to the children whilst they are resting. They came from a pack of Childrens Affirmation Cards from @i_am_me_affirmations
