11.01.2022 Hello new member of the Veggie Box....and goodbye to an old friend the cucumber. Our first switch up in our seasonal box, this yummy sweet corn, is starting in boxes on Monday.

10.01.2022 As I mentioned in our Hello North West Tasmania Post, one part of this page is to let you know what we have available. Last night we placed on gumtree Vegetable Boxes for sale.....yep the one in the Cover photo! Here is the description. We are selling them for $25. Send us a message or text if you would like one. Each box will have a selection of the following fresh seasonal ingredients according to what we have available each week. Tomatoes: a beautiful selection of Heirloom... varieties....think yellow, red to stripey. Think Big and Small. Each type taste different. Perfect for salads, snacks and tossing through pasta. Silverbeet: an old classic....eat your greens please. Baby carrots: Orange with Red core's, and in a little while we will have purple. Onions: Brown and Purple....still young, use now or store for later. Garlic: Tasmania Purple.....tasty. Cucumbers: Three varieties...Muncher, Parisian Pickling that we have grown big and Marketmore. Munchers are smooth skinned and ready to ....well munch. Parisian Pickling need to be peeled, but are sweet with soft seeds. Lettuce mix: For the whole family. Hopefully coming soon: Sweet corn, Spicy Salad Mix, New Potatoes We are loving trying out heirloom varieties of vegetables....so things may not look like the ones at the big shops! We are proud of this and get excited about flavours that are coming through. Please bring your own bags to take away your vegetables (the actual box not included) and give us at least a couple of hours notice, so we can harvest your vegetables just before you arrive. Also note, we wont wash your vegetables, please wash before eating.

This farm is our home, we use organic practices, we are not certified at this point in time, but be believe in transparency.....so feel free to ask questions and know how your food is produced!... 01.01.2022 The first official Veggie Boxes have left the yard.It was lovely to meet everyone in person! You may have noticed that there was a bag of small Parisian Pickling Cucumbers added in....We have been learning to pickle these little guys! The easiest way is a Fridge Pickle, just wash, cut your favourite way (Ben likes stick, I'm a fan of slices), put in a clean jar, add a pickling solution of water and vinegar and herbs (lots of recipes around on line!)...give it a couple of days...then eat over the next 2 months! Thought you may want to have go for fun or pass them on to someone else. Enjoy!
