22.01.2022 The Chinese Stone Locks Chinese version of resistance training that pre dates the kettlebell! The O.G / Big brother of the Kettlebells.... . Probably started as a Counter weights measurement before being used by Martial Artist and the Military as Strength and Conditioning tools. The Military, Wrestlers and even the Shaolin ( Martial ) monks are known to implement the Stone Locks training into their practice. . Much like the Kettlebells, it incorporates Grinding movements (push - pull ) & Ballistic movements (Explosive /fast ) usually in the form of Juggling like drills for hand to eye coordination. . Some reports of the Stone Lock being used and popularized during the Ming Dynasty (1300's) , but due to the Chinese Historically bloody Military / Warfare history it could go back alot further! . 11.01.2022 New Toy Finally got to Train with @100strongtraining Kettlebell. Did a quick 5 x 5 ... Both Grinding and Ballistic Exercises with it and felt good ! Few things that stands out . The Paint Job is Immaculate . Got Hole at the bottom of the Bell ( I owned 10 different brands only this one have a hole ! ) No fillers just heavy metal ! . The Diameter of the Handles is just right for Single or double handed exercises. I got a 24 kg and I'm focusing on single Arm Girevoy Sports exercises and it can easily be adapted to Fitness Style training workouts ( ie : Goblet Squats or 2 hand Swings ) .
