21.01.2022 Add rest to that list too What does holistic skin care mean to you? . Let's care for our skin as of it were protecting us from disease and harm, allowing us to feel sensation, regulating our internal temperature, communicating inner disharmony and providing the connection between the internal and external world's...because that is exactly what it does 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. .... Thank you skin . . . . . . #skinhealth #innerwisdom #holisticskincare #healthandharmony #innerharmony #selfcare #selftrust #selflove See more

20.01.2022 And so if this is indeed true, in most cases skincare products alone will not solve the original imbalance that created the need for a solution in the first place. . Breakouts due to sluggish elimination and excess waste overload? Absolutely you can try the topical creams...but the body will always find a way to direct your attention back to the original source of disharmony. So use your products, but at the same time open your mind to a holistic approach, which shows you tha...t we are interconnected beings that cannot and will not be seperated into parts. . You know when you make a wrong turn and Google maps says 'rerouting' ? Maybe that's what the body does when you miss something or start going in the wrong direction. So if you have been trying and trying to heal a skin concern that could be a deeper health issue, not to worry because you're rerouting, rerouting, rerouting and look! Here you are, reading this... 20.01.2022 B A T H T E A . . ROSEMARY. SAGE.... LAVENDER. EPSOM SALTS. . . This is a beautiful blend for sore, tense muscles and a foggy, tired mind. After running a hot bath, infuse the fresh herbs for 10-15 minutes- it is like bathing in a giant cup of herbal tea . Using whole plants can be messy, I personally love the mess- it allows me to get all of my senses involved. Crushing up bundles of herbs in my hands mid-bath and inhaling the delicious aroma, there is nothing quite like it. . If the mess isn't for you, you can infuse whole herbs in a nut milk bag, cheese cloth, stocking - whatever you have, get creative :) . . . If your skin is dry, inflamed or sensitive- add half a cup of coconut milk powder, oatmeal or both. . . . Don't have the time for a bath? Try a foot soak instead . . . . #herbalskincare #herbalbath #holisticskincare #holistichealth #restorativebath #selfcare #selflove #herbalmedicine #plantsaremagic #herbalhealing See more

20.01.2022 A dreamy afternoon spent introducing my Grandma to facial Gua Sha
17.01.2022 I tell people I am a massage therapist, but sometimes I want to say... . I use my hands, elbows, knowledge, intuition and the inner workings of people's body's to: Stimulate inner flow. Create/hold space for out of body and spiritual experiences.... Encourage the body to heal itself. Move stagnant waste and energy. Release tension. Relieve pain. Stimulate the release of feel-good hormones. Improve mental health. Nourish the skin. Enhance functioning of all organs and body systems. Improve self-esteem, productivity and brain fog. Stimulate the vagus nerve. Strengthen immunity. Increase range of motion. Connect with another being at a depth I can't explain or comprehend. The list goes on and on. . . Did you know, as the client there are certain things you can do before, during and after massage that will help to extend and enhance all of the benefits? If not, you can have a read on the blog and put it into practice for your next session. . By the way, I've just had a massage myself. It's been a while so I'm buzzing with excitement over how amazing this therapy is See more
17.01.2022 90 minutes of.... Facial acupressure and reflexology. Lymphatic drainage. Tension melting face, neck, shoulder and scalp massage. Facial Gua Sha.... Bespoke organic skin food mask. Herb infused hot towels. Foot and leg massage. Aromatic inhalations. . These are a few of my favourite things... so I have integrated them all into one dreamy treatment See more
17.01.2022 Skin. Teaching us all about unconditional love.
15.01.2022 If you look and feel deep enough, the skin can teach you everything you want to learn about yourself. Be patient, be present. You know your body better than anyone, but if you need some guidance in understanding what it might be trying to communicate- I'm here for you Not because I know it all or have all the answers, but because I'm fascinated by the holistic healing process and have a few tools that could help you on your own journey of discovering the amazingness that is you
14.01.2022 Skin Food Mess Mask I'd trade mess for convenience any day. Convenience always comes at a cost. With regards to mass-produced skincare, that cost is usually in the form of waste and synthetic ingredients added to improve product texture/consistency, dilute for profits and extend shelf life. Some of these ingredients are important for product quality and stability...but if I can easily make something myself to avoid them, I will.... Buying a jar of pasta sauce is easy, convenient, mess-free. The alternative is buying or growing the tomatoes, cooking them down with onions and garlic, adding your favourite herbs and spices, maybe even enjoying a glass of wine and some music while you're at it. Just like in skincare, that pre-made pasta sauce contains many ingredients that are good for only one thing, and are added for only one purpose- convenience. In no way do those ingredients support my health, but they do support my addiction to convenience and my ever growing disconnect to real food and holistic health. Making a meal from scratch can be messy and time consuming. Making skin food from scratch can also be messy and time consuming. But once you have the finished product, when you eat that amazing meal or apply that luxurious skin potion...the mess becomes irrelevant because nothing can compare to what you just created with your own two hands and the resources that grow naturally from the earth's soil. Making your own stuff is very rewarding. Here I have combined kaolin clay, oatmeal, almond meal, calendula petals, rose petals, burdock root, liquorice root, olive leaves, lavender and rosemary. I activate 1-2 teaspoons with hot water and leave the rest in a jar for next time :) . . . . If making your own just isn't your thing, I have listed my favourite skincare companies in my most recent blog post
11.01.2022 The Mookaite Jasper Gua Sha stone by @apoterraskincare and @cecilybraden . DIY facial therapy never felt so good. Facial Gua Sha is used for toning, lifting and strengthening muscles and connective tissue. It helps to smooth out lines and wrinkles, increase the flow of blood and lymph, nourish the skin cells with oxygen and nutrients and improve puffiness. On top of all of that, it feel so SO good. . .... . I will be placing an order soon so if you're in Australia and interested send me a message or email to find out more. Those who have contacted me already, I'll be in touch soon with more details https://www.flowskinfood.com/gua-sha
11.01.2022 A space for flow + release, deep breaths + healing...where I draw light from within and help it shine though your skin
11.01.2022 I have a bittersweet announcement to make This will soon be my daily morning view- waking up in different, beautiful places as my boyfriend and I head off on an open-ended trip around Australia. . Bitter, because it means leaving Juno Wellness and saying goodbye to all of my amazing South West clients. Sweet, because I get to be in nature all day every day and explore new places.... . We plan to leave in May or June, so I still have a few months left offering holistic facial and massage treatments in Margaret River. . Because I absolutely love what I do, I plan to bring my massage table and favourite skin foods along for the journey! If they fit...so stay tuned. I am also excited to have a lot more time, energy and freedom to re-visit and finish some projects I have been working on such as the Holistic Skincare ebook, more in depth, educational blog posts, video tutorials, further study and so much more. . It still feels very surreal that I have been able to combine everything I love and call it 'work'. Thank you for your support over the last two years, it would not have been possible without you all and I will be forever grateful And a big thank you to Tess @junowellness for encouraging me to start @flowskinfood and helping me when I was so far out of my comfort zone. . I hope to see you over the next few months before I go Have a lovely weekend See more

05.01.2022 Bare Skin Flow Facial I remember when I took the before photo, I laughed to myself thinking she's so beautiful and there definitely won't be any noticeable difference. Oh well. I don't look for specific physical differences, but because I was there- I know there was a difference in how she felt before and after. For me, that is the single most important thing.... How we feel forms the foundation of everything else in our lives, and so it is always my main focus. Massage is a simple yet powerful therapy because it allows the body to return to a state of flowing interconnectedness. We have become good at seperating ourselves into parts, thinking that in understanding each part we can piece it all together to unlock the mysteries of our whole. But it just doesn't seem to work this way. Massage returns us to harmony, to homeostasis. It slows and softens the mind and body enough until each cell, tissue, organ and system can intermingle freely once more. It's not that the body doesn't fucntion properly before massage, it's that it can function optimally after. Let's melt away that tension and create space for your radiance to shine through See more
03.01.2022 Some simple, easy face masks you could use to give your skin some extra love today. And with all this extra time, why not treat yourself to a full DIY facial treatment . This could involve candles, incense and soft music. Herb infused hot towel compress, oil cleanse, face mask, meditation and a nurturing massage. Add in a lavender and Epsom salt foot soak to really melt you into rest and relax mode. .... . . * I always suggest doing a small patch test on your neck or wrist when using DIY recipes. The ingredients I recommend are very gentle, but it's always best to safe See more
02.01.2022 It's summer time! Next time you eat a mango, try massaging some of the pulp onto your face before composting. . Mango contains AHA's (Alpa-hydroxy acids), or exfoliants. These natural fruit acids gently enhance the natural desquamation process. *the enzymes in papaya have a similar effect.... . After rubbing the slimey side of the peel onto clean skin, allow the fruit pulp to 'set' just like a clay mask. After 5 minutes or so, rinse off/briefly massage with warm water and follow with hydrosol and oil (or whatever moisturiser/serum you use). . Mangos are also rich in vitamin A, which helps to keep the skin hydrated, plump and fresh. . . . . If you have reactive skin, do a little patch test first on the neck Remove if you experience any irritation. . . . . . . #holisticskincare #diyfacemask #facemask #mangofacemask #mango #diyskincare #skinfood #flowskinfood #skincare #selfcare See more
