25.01.2022 Tuesdays are now my favourite day for reminiscing, come join us for another.... Flowstate Travel Diary Series . (Bolivia/ La Paz, circa 2011 ) .... Just a fun little bike ride down DEATH ROAD!. Paraguayan prisoners cut the road during their violent battle with Brazil during theChaco war, now stupid thrill seeking gringos like us ride down it for fun. The road is 64ks long and connects Bolivia's capital, La Paz, to the town of Coroico. Surrounded by mountainous terrain, the road stretches far enough to connect the Amazon rainforest to the capital city. The bike ride was stunning, not as bad as we are expecting but still some really sketchy sections. See more

21.01.2022 This month has flown by! With only half of November left we thought we better do another......... . INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT) . Tasmannia lanceolata (mountain pepper berry)... . Mountain pepper berry is a native species endemic to slopes and gullies of wet tall open forest or temperate rainforest of Tasmania, Victoria and south east New South Wales. Typically, mountain pepper grows as an upright bushy shrub or small tree and produces glossy black, round, furrowed fruit during summer. The leaves and berries of the plant are spicy and aromatic, and products derived from both plant parts can be used for culinary, preservative and potentially medicinal purposes. The fruit may be used fresh or dried, with dried whole berries used as an alternative to conventional pepper. Pepperberries are more versatile than conventional peppercorn, the leaves, stems and berries have an aromatic peppery taste producing approx 3 times the anti-oxidants of blueberries. This cracking bushtucker "superfood" plays an important part in our Craft Gin, bringing a sweet berry flavour to balance out our strong savoury botanicals but also giving the gin a really nice peppery finish that creeps up on you in the back of the pallet. Another example of a brilliant and versatile Australian Native Botanical! See more

19.01.2022 Well 2020 was an interesting one to say the very least! Like everyone we have had our ups and downs this year. Operating business in its 1st year during a pandemic wasn’t ideal but it did make us pivot a bit and focus more of our energy on things in the business that we may not have otherwise. The end of this year we have stepped back a little, (hence the lack of social media) and reflected on what we have achieved in our first full year and to be honest considering the circ...umstances we are pretty chuffed with what we have done. We want to say a big THANK YOU to everybody who has supported us this year from friends to family to anybody who has purchased off us this year and all the small businesses especially around the Torquay and Geelong area. Looking ahead to 2021 we have a lot of exciting things happening from new products to Gin festivals and most importantly commissioning our brand new still into our new home in the heart of Torquay (details coming soon!!!.) We are extremely excited and optimistic for the year ahead but for now we have escaped the holiday crowds and headed to the country with some friends and their kids to Hit Reset. Happy New year From the Flowstate crew.

14.01.2022 Long Weekend, time to switch off and spend time with friends and family. This is Flowstate approved message.

04.01.2022 With summer now gracing us with its warming glow , there is no better time for another small batch release from the crew at Flowstate Brewers and Distillers. With Victoria boasting some of the country’s best Chardonnay, the melding of our Craft Gin and Chardonnay from Austins Wines of the Moorabool Valley is just in time for summer. Our Craft Gin was introduced to French oak on the lees of a Chardonnay fermentation, Resting for a period of time in oak added a buttery textur...e to the distillate, with the lees providing a pale straw colour and a youthful green tinge, This process creates a palate weight similar to that of a Chardonnay wine. Nose: A rich, enticing aroma of lime and nectarine, melding seamlessly with vanilla bean, and oak-derived characters. Palate: Full-bodied with secondary flavors of vanilla and spice, perfectly poised acidity and lashings of flavour that mirror the nose with great persistence. Serving Suggestions: Enjoy neat, over ice or as part of your favorite cocktail. Chardy Gin Ricky with Rosemary Ingredients - 60ml of Chardy Gin The juice of 1 lemon 15ml of Simple Syrup 100ml Sparkling Water or Club Soda Sprig of rosemary (garnish) Wedge of lemon Ice . Method - 1. In a small drinking glass, muddle the fresh rosemary, lemon juice and simple syrup. 2. Fill the glass with ice, then pour in the Chardy Gin and top with sparkling water. 3. Give it a little swirl with a spoon. 4. Spank rosemary and add with a wedge of lime to garnish. This small batch seasonal release is only currently available on or online store at www.flowstatecraft.com.au Available in 700ml or the more ergonomic 185ml flask, stock is very limited, so once its gone its GONE!!!!
