22.01.2022 After more than four months preparation, we are proud to announce our first dinner is now taking bookings. On April 4, 5 and 6, Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski from San Francisco's State Bird Provisions, together with award-winning Sommelier Paul Einbund will deliver a superb eight-course degustation menu with premium wine pairings. The dynamic husband-and-wife duo Stuart and Nicole are the hottest chefs in San Francisco . Just last week, Stuart and Nicole added a nominati...on from the James Beard foundation for Best Chef West to their impressive award list. Furthermore, if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then they were just put on a pedestal by David Chang with his recent introduction of the same service concept at his New York restaurant Má Pêche. This is not unexpected for the State Bird Provisions chef-owners, who have seen the elite of the worlds culinary industry parade through their doors over the past 24 months. One of the quirky offshoots of this notoriety in the tech-heavy Bay Area has led to the near impossibility of getting a reservation at the restaurant. Savvy coders have hacked scripts that will immediately take the best (and sometimes all) reservable seats within seconds of them becoming available online. We do not expect reservations to sell out as quickly as they do for State Bird Provisions in the US, but due to limited seats for the dinner at our venue Wandering Cooks in South Brisbane we urge you to make sure to book early so we can guarantee your seat. And, in contrast to the restaurant in San Francisco, here in Brisbane you have the opportunity of talking to the chefs and sommelier and wandering into the kitchen to see them work close up.
