16.01.2022 * copied from another Facebook page After extensive consideration, it is with much sadness that the Society is obliged to cancel the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the current restrictions in place for public gatherings, along with the uncertainty of any timeline around lifting restrictions, it makes it unworkable to hold a large event such as the Show in 2020. ... The decision not to go ahead with the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show has not been taken lightly. It is deeply disappointing to reach this decision; however, it has been carefully evaluated and considered. It is felt the position the Society has taken is in the best interest of public health and the broader community. The Society will now turn its attention to planning and presenting a fantastic Spring Show in 2021.
13.01.2022 The AFA Committee discussed whether existing members should be granted an extension of their 2019/20 membership, recogising that all AFA Sanctioned activities c...eased in early March 2020 and were unlikely to resume before September a six -month period. It was pointed out that granting a 12 month free extension would involve the AFA in forgoing approx..$18,000 in income. After discussion it was AGREED that all existing members of the AFA would be granted a free 12- month extension of their membership covering Members, Associates and existing Registered Dogs. Members would be advised that they should still complete the normal renewal application for 2020/21 membership but that no fee would be applied. Normal fees would continue to apply for new membership applications and new (additional) dogs. You may renew your membership now from the 1st April and Club Co-Ordinators don't forget that Club affiliation is also due. 05.01.2022 With the recent cancellation of Dandenong show the organisers of the 2020 Flyball nationals have come to the unfortunate decision to cancel the November 2020 Na...tionals. We are actively trying to postpone to Easter 2021 in Frankston and whilst we know this isn’t ideal it may be a workable compromise, we hope to confirm this in the next few weeks, please share with your fellow flyballers, regards Bel and the rest of the team See more
