18.01.2022 We've been growing pumpkins as part of our Garden project. 2 weeks ago, we drew some of the pumpkins in our art session. They're now being used in the Westcare Centre, feeding people. Art inspiration, veggie production and food, we do it all! Thanks to model, Stuart Clarke :)

14.01.2022 Fly Bird Fly Studio wants to help you to take the next step! Through our Art on the Wing program we're offering an opportunity to do the ‘Responsible Service of Alcohol’ course online. Fly Bird Fly will sponsor you* to do the course with an online provider. The course is essential for working in licensed bars and clubs. You will learn the legal requirements for the sale or service of alcohol, assess alcohol affected customers and how to refuse alcohol to intoxicated customer...s. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of assessment from a registered training organisation that you can show to potential employers (once bars and clubs open again). NOTE: You will need access to the internet to undertake the course. For more information get in touch either here or via email. 08.01.2022 Peace, Joy, Love and Hope in Community. Artists Louise Flaherty, Sunshine March and Andrew McDonough have created a Native Flora Christmas Wreath and a Nativity scene in the window of 218 Wright Street. The wreath incorporates community drawings from the Westcare Dining Room Mural Project. Peering through the wreath, you will discover an exhibition of paintings from artists in the Westcare community, many experiencing homelessness or disadvantage.
