22.01.2022 Chagall MI with Ruby Crofts and Tresseme ERA with Amy Zaeh hitting the coastal park for a good hit out.

21.01.2022 Chagall MI ridden by Rashed Aldhaheri 7th MW Landsborough 80km.

17.01.2022 Welcome to the team Banjo .

17.01.2022 Lovely Baz. Lots of new experiences as Shannon eases him into being a well rounded horse

16.01.2022 Please like our page to be kept up to date with our activities, our sales horses and training availability!

16.01.2022 Another youngster started under saddle. Bam Bam ( Grandview Lodge Alabama Faraj) with Shannon.

15.01.2022 Wishing Boots (Glendhu Warlock) a succesful event today in Dubai!

15.01.2022 Fabulous start to Season 2019 for the Circus. Lancefield NCER hosted 2 days of 80km. 40km, 20km and 5km events on the weekend and attracted nearly 200 entries. The Circus fielded just the 2 horses. First 40km qualifier for our beloved Bazzle (Bilkurra Angle's Gift) who was chaperoned by the mighty Zippy (Zemperial) Perfect all A's logbooks and great heart rates for the handsome pair of grey boys with Zippy returning the lowest HR of the field :-) Many thanks to Shannon Shear...ing and Angela Nicholls for riding my two favourites perfectly to instruction. 14.01.2022 Great start to our season with 3 out of 3 completions for our team at the Waterloo Community Cup. Our truly international team consisted of Leizl Briers from South Africa riding Chagall MI. Mohammed Al Khaldi from Saudi Arabia on Zemperial and Amy Zaeh (USA) on Tresseme ERA. Our German strapper Nikola rounded out a great team of people for our first event for 2018. A challenging track and very changable weather made for an interesting ride but all 3 horses coped beautifully and had excellent vet checks. Pictured is our lovely big Anglo mare, Tresseme ERA, heading into a vet check.

14.01.2022 Two naughty boys opened their gate this morning and had a wander in the garden.

13.01.2022 Well we have been a little bit quiet on the event scene but we have had a lot going on at home! Shannon is doing a fantastic job with breaking in another 2 young horses - one of mine, and one for a client. A strapping big, bay gelding and a character filled, young, chestnut fellow. Shannon and Ruby both climbed on board today and the young lads were stars. My big bay gelding will stay here and start his qualifiers during the season and the cheeky chestnut visitor will be ret...urning to his Mum to become a very special horse indeed! Hay is our ongoing concern with supplies dwindling fast and prices up to triple the regular amount. Bagged feed is up anywhere from 30% to 80%. We rely heavily on quality pasture hay being available to all the horses 24 x 7 and I spend a lot of time trawling advertising sites trying to locate more supplies. Roll on hay season - we only have to make it through another 5 or 6 months! We will be missing a couple of rides as I have a new rig on order and that will give us a chance to get plenty done with the youngsters. I can't say I will miss driving all those long kms to and from the rides though. It becomes such a drag after so many years. If only our Shire were even slightly amenable to horsey activities it would be fantastic to have a local ride through our sandy coastal trails. Sadly, our shire are very difficult to deal with when it comes to any horse activity on public land or roadways. It's up to all of us to maintain pressure on local, State and Federal authorities when it comes to the issue of access to trail networks for equestrians. Thanks always to my amazing staff, our suppliers and supporters and to our lovely clients who continue to trust us with their precious horses. See you at a ride soon!

11.01.2022 Well, the 2019 season is upon us! All our horses and staff had a well earned break over the Christmas/New Year period. Horses, especially youngsters, benefit hugely by having complete beaks from the physical and mental stressors of training and competing. Time to recover, rest, play, grow and enjoy herd time in the sunshine! Our client horses are all looking great and entering their new season's training. I'm always grateful that our clients continue to entrust us with purcha...sing and starting their horses for them. Purchasing horses has taken up a lot of my summer time along with a considerable amount of time assisting Victorian Endurance Riders Association with new initiatives to ensure 2019 is going to be a cracker for new and existing members. The dry conditions continue to plaque us and are keeping hay and feed prices high. Hopefully much needed rain will come soon and relieve our dry, dusty paddocks and result in some green grass. Shannon and Ruby have been working the ridden horses and getting us all sorted out for the new season. Shannon's skills with the green and unbroken horses are proving to be first class and Ruby is one of the most fearless and accomplished young riders I have ever seen! The first VERA ride for the year has unfortunately been cancelled due to possible threat from fires, meaning our 2019 debut is at Lancefield in March. The Flying Circus team look forward to seeing our endurance friends there and wish everyone a fun and rewarding 2019 season. See more

08.01.2022 Another 100% for the Flying Circus crew at Moyston State Champs. Shannon Shearing on Grandview Lodge Alabama Feraj (Bam Bam) in horse and rider's first 80km and LiezlBriers on Zemperial ( Zippy) in rider's first Australian 80km completion. Whilst the fierce weather made it trying, Im very grateful to the brave folks in their volunteer capacities who braved the elements the whole time. Thanks again to John Calagari, my dad, for coming along and for the warm fire. And Amy Zaeh ....my First Mate, Lieutenant, Wingman who makes me fairly redundant at rides with her crack organisation. Great effort team.

08.01.2022 Hello friends! We have been a little quiet here for the past month with horses and humans having a bit of a break from the competition season. 2018 saw us start 3 new, young horses along the path to their endurance careers and yet another year of 100% completions for my star, Zemperial (Zippy) who continues to be the most magnificent horse on earth :-) Our team member Shannon qualified as an Endurance Rider whilst Amy and Ruby were very busy with their studies. We were the t...ruely multi cultural team this year with our riders and crew coming from all around the globe including England, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Germany, USA and United Arab Emirates! What better way to all enjoy our sport :-) Our clients continue to entrust us with their beautiful horses and we strive to deliver to them the performance results appropriate to each horse. We waved a couple of our favourites goodbye, to new performance homes and one to broodmare duties. We welcome a new horse in a fortnight which is always an exciting time for us! I'd like to wish our friends, clients, suppliers and their families warmest wishes for a safe and happy holiday season and new year. Onward and upward for an exciting 2019! See more

06.01.2022 Completions from VERA State Championships @ Moyston. Zemperial had the lowest average heart rate of all entries

05.01.2022 Friday: Peninsula: sideways hail, gale force winds, antarctic temperature, motivation levels, 0.5 and dropping.... Saturday 4am: Clear skies, light breeze, not too cold. Motivation levels 6.5 and climbing. Saturday 10 am: Landsbourough. Sunny breaks, light breeze, plenty of room to spread out. Motivation levels back to full bore ahead :-) Who would have though we'd be in t shirts on sunday! It was lovely to be back at Landsbourough. I did my first 80km ride there over 20 year...s ago! Firstly a hearty thanks to Geoff, Julie, Eric and Kerry, Martin, Ellen, Peter & Carol, Mait and Pauline, Digger, Niki, Carl. Leslie and Narelle, Paul, Linda and all the volunteers who chipped in to get this ride up and running for us. I'm sure I missed some names but thank you to all who helped out and sponsored the ride for us. Flying Circus entered an 80km horse and 2 x 40km horses and had 3 great completions with a few firsts. 1st endurance experience ever for Shannon on a first time ever horse Bam Bam (Grandview Lodge Alabama Faraj) who returned a 34 final HR at his first outing. First 80km ride in Australia for Rashed on Chagal MI who cruised it in (Thanks Wendy for your guidance in the ride) and first time back at a ride in around 3 years for Ange Nicholls on Banjo who had his first ride in Victoria. Massive thanks to my right hand girl Amy, who has made my presence almost obsolete ( ) by managing everything so thoroughly, to my Dad, John, for joining in and helping out by entertaining us with tall tales and to Troy, Jasmine and Kaylen for being great camp cheifs and keeping up a beautiful fire all weekend. A big thanks too to Kim Noble for lending us a saddle for Chagall when it was obvious something was not right with the saddle I had packed for him. Thank you Shannon, Ange and Rashed for looking after our ponies beautifully. The whole weekend had that old fashioned friendly vibe, relaxed fun atmosphere and no stress. To sum up, we all had a fantastic weeknd See more

04.01.2022 Ruby Crofts and Chagall MI doing a little bit of track excercise. Chagall can be a challenging young horse but Ruby works through his young horse antics like a true professional :-)

04.01.2022 Flying Circus wouild like to take this opportunity to wish our many friends, clients and suppliers a very happy holiday season and a safe and properous new year. Please use the holiday spirit of peace and goodwill to do something nice for someone less fortunate. Our charity is Prince Fluffy Kareem in Egypt and our donation is on its way. 2018 will see us out and about with 4 new lovely young horses - all cracking big purebreds . Bilkurra Angel's gift, Azeen ERA, Grandview A...labama Arfaj plus Redgum Reunion owned by Bianca Rodgers of Brahmarli Arabians. We'll be welcoming our visiting overseas riders from KSA and UAE back for more fun at our fantastic Aussie rides so please say hi at a ride. We're back at full capacity again for a bit but will have places for endurance horses and rehab horses later in January. Please get in touch for pricing and services. All the best from the Flying Circus team

03.01.2022 Shannon working with the lovely Baz. Such a gentle horse.

03.01.2022 HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum Endurance Cup 160km CEI 3*. Will be cheering for Glendhu Warlock ( Boots) who is one our horses who started his career with Flying Circus Endurance Horses and Tubarubba Arabians. Wishing Boots a safe and succesful event!

02.01.2022 Chagalll MI started back at work today after an 8 week lay off. Loosing his gangly, junior look and developing into a stunning, mature horse.

02.01.2022 Welcome to Ruby Crofts who has started here as a stable rider. Ruby is a keen eventer who also instructs at a local equestrian centre. Ruby is wanting to pursue a career in Veterinary Science so is very interested in all the technical aspects of preparing endurance horses. First ridden session today with a rather overweight Miss Tress (Tresseme ERA) who is coming back in to work after a good break. Ruby was riding bitless, in an endurance saddle with big caged stirrups and on a strange horse -quite fresh after a spell- for the first time, and handled it all very professionally.

02.01.2022 One of our new kids, Banjo, filming Bam Bam who is restarting under saddle.
